It was a nice there and back hike. Unfortunately, the waterfall was just a trickle after heavy rains the night before. I’m hopeful to catch it a little earlier in the season.

Water wasn't running to much while I was there. But still a very beautiful place to visit. I will be going back. Definitely track weather in that area so you can enjoy water actually falling.

Very cool nature spot to visit all kinds of different areas to explore. Was very busy when we went

It's great for kids, pretty today and straight. Lovely rock formations on the sides, eaten up by erosion over millennia. In November we found a plethora of mushrooms on all the dead logs on the sides. For the more adventurous (without kids) try the trail just before this one - it has a lovely view from on high.

This waterfall called Ferne Clyffe on google maps is actually Bork Falls. Parking and the trailhead is on the south side of the creek that crosses the road and east side of Regent Lane.
Its not a very far walk, path is pretty flat to the water fall, there are places off the trail to climb and go in but if you just stay on the trail its not to bad, i have seen pretty young children out there.. when you park, walk to the "one way" loop, you cant miss it its right next to the parking lot and thats the trail to the water fall area, there are a couple more trail entrances but those are for different trails and they are more rugged.. if it hasn't rained for a while it may not be flowing, but the trail is still nice! And the kids will have a blast
I wasn't hurt though. Then, when I got to the top and realized my car was on the other side of the falls, I knew I wasn't walking through that. So I crawled across the top of the waterfall. But I was so pumped afterwards!
There is no way of avoiding the hills on the trails, but as Ray mentioned, there are different trail types. You could try the easy trail and use a walking stick or take breaks to help with any uphill difficulty.
The waterfall on Regent Lane (Bork's) has a short but fairly steep, narrow, and rocky trail, down to the waterfall shelter. It could be dangerous after sunset, and I imagine the access trail itself would be hard to locate in the dark, if you haven't been there before. If you are confident with wilderness trails, and have a good light source, you should be fine. The main waterfall at Ferne Clyffe State Park (Big Rocky Hollow Trail), has a well maintained, entirely flat and wide trail that would be safe after dark, as long as you stay on the main trail. In wet weather, however, there are two small creeks that can run over this trail, so a flashlight and extra care would be recommended. Again, this area can also be quite dangerous if you do not stay on the trail or attempt to rock climb, etc. even in the daytime. I mention both places, because there is some ambiguity as to which location is the "Ferne Clyffe Waterfall" on Google Maps.
