Very beautiful place to visit! Plenty of trails for hiking, beautiful waterfalls, camping, fishing and loads more. Highly recommend visiting! I know I'll be going back!!

Absolutely love this park! Recommended to everyone. Kids love the playgrounds, adults love the hiking trails. Bathrooms are available. Picnic tables throughout the park. Lots of huge rocks and trees.

Quite a few trails to walk, from simple ones that you can take a stroller down, to the more difficult ones that lead into the Bluffs. Always a gorgeous place to hike. It can get pretty busy sometimes but for the most part it's not super congested. Wonderful place to go!

Whatva beautiful park. There are three really great trails to walk here. Enjoy walking to the waterfall and the loop that starts at the lake overlook picnic site. And dont forget the Ferne Clyffe trail too!

My friends and I are wanting to spend a weekend at the primitive campsite, but the reserve America site seems to only concern the RV and trailer camping. Do I need to reserve a site? Is there a park office I just need to pay at when we're there?

This link may help. There's a phone number for the park, but I don't think you need to worry about the primitive sites. https://www.hipcamp.com/discover/illinois/ferne-clyffe

Depends on what kind of site you want... tent only, RV, water/power hookup, etc. I can tell you it is reasonable and very beautiful. Their website should tell you about rates and how to make reservations.
