Best Western Plus Hawthorne Terrace Hotel

We enjoyed our Tuesday night stay. The room was updated and the rain shower was a nice upgrade. The breakfast options were good, but the space is very small. We were in the adjacent building, which meant we needed to walk over to the main building for breakfast. The neighborhood felt safe and we would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is at a convenient location, lots of life around, close to bus stations and red line. We felt safe to walk from the stations to the hotel at night. The staff there are attentive, the only hotel indeed arranged me a quiet room per I requested. Breakfast is also fine with quality choices. Room is clean, spacious and comfortable. By the way, next to the parking lot, there is a construction going on, they do started pretty early, and a bit annoying.

The location of this hotel is perfect if you're seeing a concert at the Aaragon Ballroom. We were upgraded to a suite during our stay which was a pleasant surprise and we really enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel. Will definitely be staying again in the future. It also only takes about 13 minutes to get to downtown Chicago.

Probably the most run down Best Western I’ve been to. The shower head that barely has pressure is also leaking where it connects to the pipe. But at least the handle that turns the water on is very loose too. Maybe it’s supposed to be that way. The rusty metal sink supports aren’t even noticed because of it. Didn’t even notice the floor is uneven either. But at least I didn’t have housekeeping come once, the whole week I was there, even though I told the morning desk person several times that it would be nice to have some clean towels, coffee and toilet paper. Also tried the plastic door hanger that requested service and still no service. The non working refrigerator is one of my favorite parts. I’m going to miss it. Other than those little things it was great!
