Great location, very close to lots of restaurants and tourist attractions like the river walk. There's an onsite rooftop bar that makes for fun evenings. I had a premium king room that came with a bathtub. That was a wonderful way to relax. The bed was a little hard for my taste and I found the pillows to be uncomfortable as well. Other than that I had a delightful 5 night stay.

Went to Chicago for a girls weekend and had the best time at The Gwen! Everything was perfect! Having a drink on the rooftop bar was great. I really enjoyed the Lavazza complementary coffee each morning. Our room was taken care of each day by housekeeping which since Covid has not happened much at other hotels.

Highly recommended. I was wondering if the hype was true so stayed here for work. The win was the coffee they had every morning in the lobby. The room was great, and the service was even better. It is attached to part of the mall so it’s easy access for shopping as well. The gym had both peloton as well as tonal! The front desk was super helpful in helping me get stuff mailed back after a work event as well! Highly recommended.

The Gwen is stunning! Every detail of this hotel is well thought out from the furniture, decorations, artwork, food, and the staff. The rooms are huge, the bed is comfortable, the rooms are quiet- none of that hallway or pesky neighbor noise you sometimes get in hotels. The bar is gorgeous with so much variety. The rooftop patio is fun and is repurposed for winter and summer to get the best use of the outdoor space. The location of the hotel is perfect with a lot of things close by. The event staff is top notch! Vasso was incredibly professional and so easy to work with. She thought of every detail for our event and offered suggestions to make things go even smoother. If you’re considering hosting an event in Chicago, the Gwen will be memorable for sure!
