I recently went into the store with a non-time sensitive package that weighed less than 1 pound. There was a woman in training who was fine, but the manager/owner was quite rude to both me and her trainee. I asked for the rate for a 2 day air and she quoted me at $46. I asked for the rate for three day and she quoted me at $81. This is because they were measuring the large envelope that is free with 2 day and much larger than actually needed. The 3 day rate is based on weight and dimensions of the package. Obviously I would not have used that envelope and picked up a smaller box to be more affordable. Clearly a 3 day is going to be less than 2 Day in the proper packaging. We all know it. I didn’t feel like addressing this with them, and did not appreciate their lack of customer service and didn’t want to give them my business. I’ve worked with UPS corporate in their marketing team and I know that this was not up to their standards. So I took my package down the road to a FedEx office on Stony Point Rd. who are awesome to work with. Shipped it out 3Day in their packaging for $15.03.

A couple of days ago I brought several items to the Fulton UPS Store to be packed and shipped. I arrived without any prior notice and had cart fulls of of difficult and fragile items to pack. Among them was an antique doll in a glass case that was held together with string. Mita and Kimber were gracious and caring. They expertly wrapped the doll and the case in volumes of bubble wrap and tape, then double boxed them. They took their time wrapping, as carefully and methodically as possible, to be sure it would survive transit. Kimber was very skilled at wrapping delicate items like the antique paper-thin glass tumblers and stemware. They were both very skilled and resourceful wrapping all the other items I brought in, including large, framed art pieces, with the utmost care. There ended up being 14 boxes over a period of 2 days. The two women worked tirelessly for hours until all the items were fully wrapped, padded, and boxed. They were awesome. To managers Jen and Rakeesh: I wish to commend Mita, Kimber and Jennifer (who took over register duties) on the fine and professional jobs they did. I was very stressed about shipping such fragile items, but seeing the incredible way they wrapped them put me well at ease. Watching the way the staff were able to smile and handle the flow of all the customers who came into the store as well as take care of me was very impressive. Mita is a great leader and runs a tight ship. I hope you appreciate what talented and valuable employees you have. Plus, they are very nice people, who in fact, deserve an even nicer raise.

As an eCommerce business owner, I rely on various shipping companies to meet the needs of my customers. Frequently I drop off numerous packages at this location. The staff, primarily Mita, always make the process easy for me. I can leave my packages without getting the third degree of scrutiny I receive in other shipping stores. One such store had me wait in line to drop pre-labeled packages! The store is always clean and well run. It gets busy at times and the staff reacts quickly. I appreciate the friendly “hassle free” atmosphere.
