This was a confusing process for me , it was my first time scheduling a car rental. When i went online it was through Expedia, and the pick up was at the air port. When my 73 year old grandmother and I got to the airport We experienced “technical” difficulties due to the lack of knowledge I had on where to get our vehicle. I confused Enterprise with Expedia. Well we went to the 6th floor like the sign said and found out we where actually with National Car rental. We spoke with the man directly next to expedia and he was very hard to understand. He told us to go back downstairs so drug my grandma back down the 6 floors to speak to the clerk there. This customer service rep Tim , did not acknowledge the answers asked directly to him. There was no eye contact or acknowledging our questions just straight typing. I had more questions I wasn’t able to ask because he couldn’t answer the first one for 4 minutes. This process was very frustrating for both of us but we are grateful we get to travel delightfully without an uber

I was ignored by the woman working the desk because she was arguing on speaker phone with what i would assume was her "baby daddy". Expecting literally nothing after that dismal experiance, national also screwed up the rewards points and i am now missing 60 days of rental car rewards. I am not 100% sure how you stay in bussiness with this kind of performance.

Incredibly great staff! There was a lady that helped me and my mom get to our ride. The return process took 2 minutes at most and somehow my invoice was a bit less when I returned it early. I love the convenience and location of this place.

Very easy return process in the rental car center and a quick elevator ride and walk to the airline check in counters for flights. Smooth return and excellent service from National, as I've come to experience with each rental trip. Upon returning vehicle to this time I noticed that my final charges were much more from my initial price. Jason was very proactive and in checking in on me as I was unloading the vehicle I explained this concern to him. He immediately took it upon himself to look into the discrepancy. He worked quickly to figure it out, explain it to me, and then remedy the issue without any hassle, questions, or concerns. Amazing guy. Jason and his team at National SJC were fantastic. Very thankful for his help and will rent from National again of course

The hours at this location according to the National Car Rental website are 5:30 am to midnight seven days a week.
There is also a shuttle that takes about 3-5 minutes that goes from terminal a to the rental car building

What is the insurance coverage needed?
They do offer one way rental. But as per their website, certain one way rental are not allowed. You might have to call them and confirm.
