Coming from New York this has been the best authentic Jamacian restaurant we've found here in the city. We recently had them cater our party with jerk chicken and peas and rice and we were blown away by the customer service and quality of food. We have had the pleasure of having their pepper shrimp, beef Patty's, coco bread, ox tails and can't wait to try out the rest of the menu. Thank you guys again for making our party a hit with the food.

Yeah it’s true they really open and close when they want but this is authentic cooked fresh food … not gonna get it anywhere else family owned business .. seriously though lol they open and close when they want but it’s too good not do give 5 star

This was my first time at Val's. The food was really good! My husband and I got the oxtail and curry chicken. We bought jerk chicken curry goat and some patties to take home. I gave 4 stars only because at 12:30 the restaurant was still closed. Ms. Val was kind of nonchalant about it not being open but she turned out to be really nice. I will definitely return.

On a diet & my trainer gave me a Go ! Got my protein, green /fiber . Trying to Gain weight/ muscle with GOOD & HEALTHY fats I call this my “Thick girl meal” , crave it Everyday.. I’ve even had dreams .. woke up with it on my mind this morning but it’s Presidents Day. Everything closed 😩
