You have to navigate a pretty steep staircase, but once you do that, the views are sweeping, the beach is clean and it's not crowded.
Count Leopold
A beautiful little hideaway tucked snugly into a beautiful part of the sound. Come here with your kids and pets, bring the family! Picnics, kayaking, fishing, and more! There's a Pavillion to host events, and some cool old structures to explore.
some one
Nice place to unwind. It has benches or you can sit by the beach.
Sunshine Kingdom
Awesome little local beach with grit and history! Parking is limited and in a residential neighborhood, you walk across a caged bride over the train tracks and walk down a flight of stairs to access the beach. There's a covered picnic area and cool old rusty stuff, rocky beach, view of the Narrows Bridge, The Sound Park is not ADA accessible

These commenters are referring to an old fireplace that does not function well for cooking. There are No grills and there IS NO BBQ PIT. No fires are allowed on beach. You should bring your own little portable grill. No reservations, limited area. Strict rules apply at this little Nature Sanctuary. No loud music (earbuds welcomed),No Drones. Only one picnic table and 1 bench. Steep stairs, limited parking. Read Rules Posted at Entry. This is a very quiet, No Harvesting, NoCrabbing, Most fishing restricted, Nature Sanctuary. People come here for the quiet. Try Sunnyside Beach for parties... more Parking, Many BBQs, Restrooms, Lots of tables and benches, recreational equipment, Volleyball kids apparatus, music, etc..... oh yes, there is Grass and Sand!
Would recommend Sunnyside Beach for swimming. The currents here are very strong, there is a drop off, and it is a rock beach. Water is cold at both Beaches, but Sunnyside is a cove with sand and is flatter. Plus there are facilities at Sunnyside.
No clamming at Saltars Point. Unlikely to find seaweed unless you scuba dive.
Please bring dogs, just clean up after them caude my kids play there! Would love to see them there, carefull taking them across the bridge.
I parked in one of the 5 or so parking spots
