Best DMV I've ever been to. My wait was less than 20 minutes, then Benjamin helped me with more than what I had come in for. I forgot my title and had to leave and come back. My wait was 2 minutes then the new lady (missed her name but she was in training) got everything figured out for me. I came to get stickers for my license that never got mailed to me. I left with my address, name, and lien holder fixed on my cars title, new stickers, and my address changed on my license. And it only cost me $40 and took an hour total with me going home and coming back. Great work Oxnard DMV!

Totally surprised that for a Monday, no appointment scheduled.. I was helped and out within 45min. As always the DMV employees were very pleasant & quick.

DO NOT RELY ON UNOFFICIAL ANSWERS FROM UNKNOWN PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET. Seriously, don't be like this person. This is how mistakes happen and how you can seriously end up screwing yourself over.

For seniors mostly you don't have to wait but if you go in the morning ask the assistant that outside by the door she will help you
To be generally honest with you, the early morning would be the best because with the whole situation going on, the DMV fluctuates throuout the day. You don't need an appointment to get your real ID but you will have to wait in line. My best advice is just to go as early as you can with the right paperwork or else you're just going to be waiting a long time just to walk out with nothing if you don't have what they require.
@Doug Lanagan yes you would be responsible for any fees they will not waive them. I just went through this I dought a classic car that hasn't been registered for 14 years I had to pay $760

You have to go to Ventura County Superior Court to pay for tickets first. They are not paid at the DMV. There is also a smaller court in Vineyard street that you can also go to pay your tickets
