I've lived here for over 11 years, and love everything about it. The location, apartments, amenities, and staff are all wonderful. Brittany in the Resident Services office is always so helpful if I ever need anything. It's been a fantastic place to call home!

I have lived here for about 10 years. Originally, it was going to be for a year or two, but it is such a pleasure living here that I have stayed. The community is, for the most part, full of interesting and friendly people. As far as the management goes, they do a great job. They always respond very quickly to any problems. Most recently, Victoria Quick was helping me with an issue - a small leak (so small that there was no damage at all, excepting a small area of damp carpet). First of all, she was particularly efficient. A plumber was called immediately, even though it was after hours. She followed up over the next few days, to make sure that the issue was resolved, first that the carpet was repaired and dried to my satisfaction, and then that the carpet was thoroughly cleaned. She also called to follow up a week or so later. Additionally, the maintenance staff is very courteous, punctual and respectful of my space and my time. This is indicative of the service I have come to expect from the staff here. This is a great place to live.

I've lived at Water's Edge for a year now, which I believe makes me positioned to write this review. Community is tucked away in Marina del Rey. Moving to California my #1 concern was safety. I've always felt safe here, you always see security around the marina, and it tends to be a sleepy place to live - which I like. great proximity to Venice if you want to go out. Amenities - pool is great, W/D in select units and upgraded appliances. All on my wish list when I moved here. The staff is what makes this place 5 stars. Whenever I have an issue they always promptly address. Shout to Kelsey and the entire maintenance team for being so professional.

Updated: First, they made me pay extra $500 security deposit for my cat (in addition to $750 regular deposit). Then, 4 years later, claimed the deposit was $750 and cat deposit just disappeared and they refuse to give it back (despite the fact that I have a move-in receipt that states $1250 as security deposit). So, before moving in with a pet, either don't pay a security deposit for your pet or make sure you triple check every single document you sign when you update your lease. That was my previous review before all that mess with security deposit: We have lived here for 4 years and I must say I loved it there. Moreover, 2 of out friends have moved here too. Pros: - ocean is walking distance away meaning whether you want to jog, just go for a leisurely walk or sunbathe you can do so with ease. - Close to Venice and Santa Monica - The weather here is way better than in most of LA. It is very mild, never too hot, never cold. We have not used AC or heater in 4 years. - Huge apartments with lots of storage, esp in kitchens. We lived in 1BR and now move to 2BR and are struggling to fit all the stuff that we easily stored in Marina Harbor - Cheaper than most of other apartment complexes nearby - The management office and maintenance are great. - Views, of cause Cons: - No fridges. Seriously? - Bikes are stolen from parking on a regular basis. Don't even think about storing it there, it is just a matter of time. - Pricey, but it is CA, what else did you expect? - Traffic: it is 10 minutes away from the nearest highway (90) + 2 new huge apartment complexes have just been built and a hotel. I would expect traffic to get way worse fast.
