The best experience I've probably ever had with a mechanic shop. Baha, who runs the place, is flat out terrific. When the transmission on my 2009 Ford Escape just suddenly died, Baha was upfront about the cost for the entire job to replace the transmission. Other shops I called wouldn't tell me much on cost, labor, or anything really. And when I finally got other shops to tell me what I was looking at for cost, it would've ended up being a couple grand more than what Sunset Transmission did it for. Sunset Transmission was upfront about everything and had the best price by a long shot. They also provided a three-year warranty on the transmission. Baha has saved me quite a bit of money on my older Ford Escape. He treats you as someone he truly wants to help and I can't say enough about this place and the guy who runs it.

These guys did great work on my older (1986) Toyota truck. They diagnosed a small problem and replaced a part, saving me thousands compared to another shop I had taken it to that just wanted to swap my transmission without investigating the problem. Courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Highly recommend.

I don't typically write reviews but I think this shop is amazing! These guys exceeded our expectations with two different cars we brought to them, with transmission problems. We got three different estimates and Sunset Transmission was well below the other two. Also, the customer service is straight forward and honest.
