What a beautiful library! So clean and modern, and best of all, so quiet! The staff is all so friendly and willing to help with anything! There is not a bad quality about this place, except the fact I never want to leave! LOL!

Its beautiful architecture aside, the Hannon Library is quiet solace for students seeking a worthwhile workplace on campus. Its breadth of texts is always breathtaking for me to explore, most especially in their special collections of which include full copies of the first four Shakespeare Folios. A great space for both collaboration and solo work, it is rare to find a moment when the space isn't full to the brim with students - all of them maintaining a shawl of quiet intensity. edit: spelling of "its"

Loyola Marymount's Main Campus, tucked quaintly atop a coastal hill that overlooks the Marina and Playa del Rey, has a recently remodeled stunning library. During the day and evenings it is open to non-students so guests can make use of the great environment and resources. I am not a student but this is one of my favorite go-to work spaces to do research or work on my business. It is not a really large library but it has an extensive collection in a spectrum of disciplines including a children's book section, research and literary journals, art books, and I'm sure some other bonuses that I've yet to come across. There is a cafe attached to the library, Jazzman's Cafe, that serves coffee, tea, prepared lunch items, pastries, and other beverages. It's lounge area is quite inviting, with a TV to accompany you while you eat. The library beautiful large windows all along the perimeter bode a relaxing and beautiful view of of the area so if you can get a seat there, then you're set!
