Nearly empty rental car area, but waited nearly 30 min while waiting for agents to service customer ahead of me. Then said I had to wait at least another 30 minutes to "bring up" the vehicle that I reserved (7-seat SUV). I could not wait so took another available vehicle. Had pre-paid Avis rental yet there were additional charges upon completion. Return was fine. Among hundreds of rental car experiences, Avis at LGB Airport has been one of the worst.

We rented a car from Avis for a week in California. Everything went perfect. Awesome pick up and drop off and it was a great vehicle with no issues.

Update: I was given 50% off on the towing and that’s the best they can do. I guess in a situation where a car rented out by Avis to anyone with a bad brakes and the driver ended up in a ditch due to a faulty vehicle, the driver is still liable for towing. On 5/17/2021 an accident occurred with the AVIS vehicle I rented. The driver side window exploded, sending glass shards all over. Some of the shards nicked me in several areas of my body, luckily they didn't go into my eye. I've filed an police report on this incident, and as far as I know there were no physical force that made the window shatter like that. There were no car beside me (exiting on single lane), no one was throwing anything at me as far as I can tell. Apparently glass exploding on its own does happen per articles and accounts online. I'm very disappointed that even after explaining what happened to me in person at this AVIS branch and filling out their accident form, I ended up being charged for the roadside assistance/towing ($220.00). They never told me in my face that I would get charged. This happened due to a faulty vehicle that this company provided and probably did not check for defects. I could've lost my vision or crashed....and they charged me for the towing.

Contact Avis to inform of the amount of fuel and your contract. I try to check and take pictures of the outside as well the fuel amount, this way I can take the car as is or have A bus to fuel it up before I leave. Avis, is a pretty good company to rent from and they will assist you well, Kathy.
Yes if they're open but they also won't refund the unused time
All depends it ranges from 60 to 140. Become a member and always ask for the cosco discount
