really nice library, very modern and beautiful architecture. very impressed however I was disappointed by the book collection. there is not enough books from diverse perspectives that's definitely an area of improvement

I made an appointment to pick up a book for school at 2:30pm. I arrived there and the lady couldn’t find a book with my reservations. She asks me a few times my name and my library card number. It seemed as if she was new or maybe already stressed out with the situation. I looked for an email and realized that for some reason my appointment was cancelled. I told her the website said there was 4 of them available at that location. Anyways, she didn’t help me much and didn’t even bother to try to help. She was not there by herself and it wasn’t super busy. Im not sure what was the disconnect that happened between my reservation and my appointment to be cancelled but I’m disappointed that there was at least 3 personnel in the front and not much going on. When I made the appointment 2 hours prior said there was 4 available and not one staff bothered to go look or help with this situation. After driving back home I received a notification on my phone at 3pm, saying I can now pick up my reserved book. I called the library to ensure this wasn’t going to be another wasted time. The lady on the phone was very helpful and friendly. She verified it was on the shelf and put it to the side for me to pick up. Glad things turned out better than expected, it would have been great if the help I needed was rendered while I was there the first time. Needless to say I am still thankful for being able to borrow the book as it is for school.

Yes! If you have a library card in Riverside county you can return books at any of the Riverside county library. I often times check out books from Murrieta and return them to Temecula!

We are currently not open for inside use but we do offer curbside appointments. You may place items on hold at bit.ly/murcatalog and once you are notified that they are available for pickup can reserve a time to pick the items up.
There are 2. There is a general and self help one. I do the general and it's nice. Come join us! First Tursday of every month at 5. Not sure day of the other, but it's on the website.

Yes, but it depends on the age. Activities are currently suspended for the holidays but they start again on January 23rd 2019. 3 to 5 no adults are Wednesdays at 10 and 11 am. Birth to 6 with adult are Thursdays at the same times.

Yes. Go to the murrieta public library's website and do a catalog search. Click availability and it will tell you if they have it, where its located, and if it's in or checked out. You also have the option to browse other libraries and request it to Murrieta
