Mail room where packages are held is a mess! See newly updated pics. All new staff, Incompetent, and unsupervised. God forbid there is an emergency, none of these new security employees are trained for anything. When I ask them for my package I get a deer in headlights, they panic, and tell me to come back later and shut the package room door. I guess he decided the conversation was over. You can see what I’m talking about in the pics. Terrible customer service and basic organization skills needed for housing our packages. Deteriorating building. Elevators in C Tower are constantly broken for months at a time. Currently both elevators are down. Building management Never has any answers nor time frames. “Sorry for the inconvenience.” Unsanitary community environments like picnic tables and bbq area. Tables are not wiped down daily, nor weekly and I’m tracking if it’s even done monthly. Please sweep under the tables also. Thank you.

I've been a resident of this community since 2008, and I’ve gotten to know a lot of the staff over the years. The maintenance and grounds staff are some of the best. They take pride in everything they do, seen by how beautiful the community is. The current management staff is wonderful as well, led by Kate - who has been one of the most helpful managers I've met in my years here. She's approachable and attentive for anything that may arise, and responsive to any needs the community throws her way. Looking forward to enjoying my stay for years to come. p.s. We also have the best pool on the west side.

I've lived here since 2008, and at the moment, I love it. The maintenance, grounds and security staff are some of the nicest and hardest working people I've met. Re: management, I’ve had my share of issues with them in the past, but never has a problem been left unresolved. I’m sure that managing 700+ units in an aging apartment complex is a Sisyphean feat. But credit is due for the improvements I’ve seen over the past few years… aside from our once beautiful gym that’s indefinitely out of order. With the completion of The Landmark luxury apartment complex next door, it feels as though Douglas Emmett (the parent company of both communities) is finally recognizing the potential in Barrington Plaza’s future. Towering over the cookie cutter landscape of West LA’s architectural banality, this place feels like an undiscovered, under appreciated, doggo friendly, mid-century, masterpiece and historically, a landmark of LA’s past. It even makes the national news when it lights up.

Horrible apartment building. Extremely rude and unprofessional customer service. I lived there for one year with no problems and left the apartment professionally cleaned. They are now trying to charge me $1500 and claim it costs $900 to clean the carpet for 2 small bedrooms. The management clearly is trying to squeeze any dollar out of the tenants by up charging routine rates by 4X. Do not live here whatsoever.

Hello, Right now, there is no fitness center at Barrington Plaza. We are in the process of designing a brand new fitness center for the community.
