Love that this resort is so close to the city. The service throughout the entire resort was 5 star: the lift mechanics are kind , helpful and friendly. the rental equipment people were also very nice & helpful. only downside is that a few of the lessons instructors werent that friendly. Overall, great experience and would definitely visit again~! *Buy ticket (lift, rental, etc) online prior to driving up

Wanted to get back to snowboarding this year after a 5yr hiatus. Chose Mt high vs Big Bear because it’s cheaper, less crowded, and the lesson included so many for items. As of Jan 2022, the adult lesson was $189 but that included my rental and an 8hr lift ticket. My instructor Pina was awesome. After and 1hr 45 minute lesson, I was off on my own enjoying multiple lifts. Parking was $20 (super close to entrance) with a free option that required a walk up a hill. Multiple food options, I took a lunch, so I didn’t taste anything. Make sure you buy all your tickets online before you arrive. Reception on my cell was spotty, so download the google map before you head to Wrightwood. The school for lessons has a separate building and registration area so u don’t have to deal with the crowds. I’ll be returning due to the prices and the road their is way less windy than to get to big bear! Enjoy

I've been coming here for over ten years and my favorite place locally. Everyone is so nice the food is great. Nothing like a bread bowl with clam chowder or chili. You do have to pay for parking 20 dollars now to park next to the park but free shuttle service or park down the slope and do the walk. Still rather come here than anywhere else though

Mountain High has the best employees. Everyone from the gals selling the lift tickets and rentals to the instructors teaching classes. Everyone is always friendly, helpful and very caring. This mountain is fun for everyone. Great for beginners and experts. My only suggestion is this...... GIVE YOUR EMPLOYEES CHRISTMAS DAY OFF!! Open for night skiing, Christmas night, if you must. But giving your people the day to spend with family shows that a company has class and respects their employees. Great employees make or break a place that is in the business of fun.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
It can be great...if you are prepared. The best way to do that is to keep your face and head warm with a beanie, goggles, and a facemask. All is good when you are snug as a bug in a rug.
Yes, and you can always check the snow reports for a live update.
Yes, there is snow! I went snowboarding last weekend on 01/11/2020.
Yes, there sure is. The majority the West Resort is still open with a 20-30" base of soft, spring snow. Please see here for more info http://www.mthigh.com/site/trails-and-conditions/conditions/snow-and-weather-report/snow-and-weather-report Looking forward to seeing you soon.

$79 for an eight hour lift ticket which does not begin until you scan it at the lift. Four hour ticket is $74. Night pass is $45 starts at 5 ends at 10pm. Children 12 and under pay for $40. There's a point pass that can be shared by two people. 500 points go for $169 and the 2,000 for $249 and shared up to 4 people. The points taken away from the balance depends on the lift you use: Blue Ridge and Mountain High lifts are 20 pts all other lifts are 10 pts. Children 6 and under get two day passes with the 500 and 4 day passes with the 1000. Free ticket on your birthday with valid ID.

Depends on weather. I would go right after a storm because that's when the conditions on the slopes are the best. But you should be prepared to bring chains. They may require it
Yes, quite a bit. We are now open for skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and snow play. Come on up. http://www.mthigh.com/site
Artificial snow.
I don't ski, but friends do. I think so. Check Mountain High.com. Good luck
There is no snow now. The resort is closed until next season. But on top there is a wonderful campsite - in the forest, a wonderful view, a large number of places that are far from each other. There are parking for cars.
Yes, the West Resort is still open with a 24 to 38 inch base. Looking forward to seeing you.
Weekends tend to get too packed lately since the mountain is getting pounded with snow. Weekdays are usually better. Being that I have been a boarder for the past 15 years and Mtn. High being the closest resort to SD, I go often. This is by far the best season yet for this particular Mtn. Usually it is pretty icy but it has been pounded with snow this season. Went to Mammoth 2 weeks ago and you cant compare 3 ft to 22 inches but worth it if you can make the trip to either resort with more snow on the way.
Yes, we are traditionally open from mid-November through mid-April. We look forward to seeing you.
Snow has been pretty good over the past 4 weeks, however I am not sure how the past few days of rain/snow has affected it! Go anyway!
Snow Tubing $30 for 2-hr session. Snowplay $20 for 2-hr session.
You would have to split it up into two 4 hour passes for 2 people
Siay podes ir acon fiansa
If there is and if today it rains there will be more the mountains look white and it is getting very cold🌧🌨

Are you a beginner, have you gone before with windy conditions. If you are thinking of going you need to look at the forecast first, make sure you bring all the necessities.Dress warm; Warm jacket, face mask, goggles, good gloves, and good pants. Bonus if you bring some hand warmers and some chapstick. There will probably be snow blowing everywhere, today it says 20 mph winds and 80% chance of snow later in the day for the 17. If you have been boarding before and feel comfortable, it should be allright, I went a week ago and the winds were above 35 miles an hour thus shutting down the lifts at 12pm, got a voucher to go again sometime this season. Be safe and enjoy yourself.

No, you do not need a parent to purchase a lift ticket. However you must be 18 to rent equipment. If you are under 18, please have your parents fill out this liability form and bring it with you. See you soon! http://www.mthigh.com/site/lessons-and-rentals/rentals-and-repair/rentals.html/rentalformonline.pdf

Yes, mt high has snow.
No, clear roads and clear weather
Yes.
Keep in mind that this week is only open from 9 till 4 until Friday. After Friday it will be 9 till 10. Also keep in mind that there are two main resorts and only the west one is open. (Trust me I understand the disappointment)
Not yet. Usually by Christmas. Friday Saturday and Sunday for now
Today all lifts were open except Conquest lift.
Yes
Friday- Sunday
I do not work there, you would have to contact them. The weather might affect the business hours.
Hopefully Dec 1st! Depending on Mother Nature + Cold Temps! Otherwise 🤷?
It always depends on how the weather is. But generally it does open late November early December. Happy boarding/skiing!!!
The best time is right after a fresh dump of snow. Any other time, it is usually too icy/slushy.
No
R you dreaming?
When it's cold enough to make it, unless mother nature helps. They usually try to be open by Thanksgiving week.
Only if we have an early winter. If it's cold enough they blow snow. They try to be open by Thanksgiving week, weather permitting.
No they don't, Department of Forestry will not allow them to have bikes do to it will tear up the mountain is what I've Been Told.
Yes was there two days ago raining now but still running. Doubt we will get any snow this is a warm storm.
This would be a ski resort... pretty sure you won't be able to bring the husky on the slopes...
They are open everyday
830a-10 fri-sun
Yes
Theres no sledding this season vision Mountain High Ski Resort and they will explain the conditions of the mountains that offer what you want to do with sledding currently the mountain is closed for sledding
They have snowboard lessons for kids and the magic carpet ride...they have an indoor cafeteria...my kids always do 1 run then when they get to the bottom they have a lil snowball fight or snow angels or just mess around in the snow then do it again...that way no one freaks out on them playing in the snow...sometimes they play with toys in the snow off to the side out of the way...an if they just made snow it should be all over the tables in the sitting area then thats when they have the most fun cause no one will tell them not to play in it there
Yes very light snow flurries...and will again in a couple hrs...plenty man made
8am i think
Decent snow coverage. No bare spots. Supposed to snow over the next few days.
Its supposed to snow next week starting mon-thur they may be able to make more if temps are right...but there is definitely enough to have a blast right now!
2018 is a pretty lame season so far. No rain and too hot. I wouldnt count on it unless theirs actually snowfall before then.
All man made, but it doesn't bother me.
Man made snow for ski/snowboard area only. There were spots even on slope that were thin with snow. So be mindful when you ride the slope.
And
Yes, but only at the ski resort (16" at the base and 22" at the summit) the snow will be machine made
No one ever checked for ticket there
Lifts
Lol how can anyone possibly answer that...were in January theres enough snow now though
Weather is unpredictable so possibility of natural is less but you can enjoy man made snow
Evan you forgot to put the apostrophe "s" on it...cant sled at mtHigh...maybe on side of road but that is always dangerous with traffic an people always blocking other in
Only man made snow and its melting fast...just got back from there now...It rained all am tuesday and washsed away most of the snow and what it didnt turned to ice so then the snow from tue pm and a bit on wed is what was left and again since thursday on it has been incredibly warm so what lil did come in has pretty much melted away and all thats left is alot of ice so no going fast...but they are supposed to make more soon as soon as temps are right the machines will automatically kick on also snow im the forcast...so high hopes!
Always check website if they have natural snow... they also do man made snow.
They have boarding as well as ski instructions, both private and group. I would call or email them directly for rates
Mountain High is a ski resort. It does not have snow play areas on the premises
Not currently, if there is a big storm that rolls through then maybe
There some campgrounds but i think some are closed for the season. But yes you can take your rv up there.
yes, a very easy drive from the 15 or up from the 138, hwy 2 is also an option to get there but not an easy drive albeit beautiful and scenic aside from the rock slides
Yes, it's open but they don't have natural snow yet however you can enjoy man made snow including skiing.
At the East Resort there's Grand View Bistro at the summit, on the West Resort there's the Angeles Crest Cafe & Goldrush Grill at the base. The Bullwheel Grill is just above the West Base, there's also Burgers and Chicken sandwiches at the Big Pines Barbecue at the West. In addition, there's the foggy goggles slopeside bar with live music features on a regular basis. The North Base has a tubing park and the North Pole Grill. There's a Kid's Sports Center. But, if you want a shopping center or mall then you wouldn't want to visit. It's mostly snowboarding and skiing. During the summer there's hiking and golf Frisbee. There's virtual snow if you want to learn how to ski or snowboard.
Its across the st from the west side
No only making their own they have wyatt and the other main run open though and makeing more snow everyday so the whole thing should be fully accessable soon
Really good instructors and dedicated area and lift for beginners.
They make their own about half the runs are open in the west end...should be more comeing by the end of next week
Its definitely alot better than trying to pile up on the side of a mountain where everyone blocks each other in and no medical staff so if someone got hurt good luck...this place if much safer and much longer runs than ruffin it for sure!!
No snow but the make there own...i belive opening day is late nov...the 28th if im not mistaken
