Are chains required to be put on vehicle wheels to get up to the snow mountain safely? Or can you just drive up there without a problem and no chains at all?? Thank you!.

Keep an eye on mountain high's "snow report". They keep it updated with road conditions. You can also check the Caltrans Quickmap, they show you where chains are needed. Usually not needed unless there's just been a big storm.

Right now all roads are open and clear with no restrictions
