They raised our rent 27% in one year. Inflation was 6% in the city of Atlanta. Greedy corporate landlords. We pay for the pool and it hasn't opened since we moved in May 2021. We pay for a "gated community" and the gates are broken and open 50% of the time. Maintenance requests are either dealt with in 3 minutes or 3 months in our experience. Office staff are generally nice enough most of the time. Rent is theft and corporate landlords should be illegal. I weep for the future of our fellow citizens when housing so unaffordable, we are forced to rent and when I try to negotiate reducing the 27% increase in our rent I get told "You're lucky it's not more".

I live across from the Slate and decided to come and visit the site. Ms Erika was professional. Helpful and more than I could have ever asked for when looking for a 1beseoom apartment. The apartments are beautiful, clean and the staff is wonderful. They get all five stars and more.

One word to describe this place HORRIBLE! New owners have done absolutely NOTHING to improve these apartments. When they were first built they took care of them but it has deteriorated over the years and there has been no indication that the new owners plan to do anything different. Here are a few of the issues: The access gates (both front & back) have been broken literally for almost 6 months, they NEVER had the pool open the entire summer (they will try to say its due to Covid but other apartment communities in the area had their pools open all summer so that is total excuse), the trash compactor is ALWAYS full so residents leave their trash in piles in front of the compactor - which is not only an eye soar, it stinks and draws rodents. Instead of addressing these important issues, the owners have made repaving the parking lot (which was not a mess to begin with) a priority! They really need to do better.

I love this place! Super friendly staff, clean & quiet place to life, and speedy maintenance. I have been here for about 3 years. I have seen the major difference and improvement in management from SandTown Vista to The Slate. The Slate Squad makes sure that tenants are taken care of, the grounds are appealing and clean, and community involvement is present. They even know me by name! Definitely a great place to live!
