You can make your appt through the app but unfortunately the only place to pick up the car will be off Harbor at the rental facility. I would advise planning an appt time that allows you to take either public transportation or save up to catch a Lyft down from Vista. It's worth it in the end trust me! Good luck!!!

If you are still a registered driver (can still log into driver app) go to your dashboard, go to vehicles tab, then tap the rent a vehicle button.

Not presently, I've seen some small SUV but they are rare. Plus they would only give you what's available that day. You would have to be there waiting all day to wait for a car that was returned and get lucky. The best car in my opinion is the Hyundai Sonata or if your super lucky the Ford hybrid.

$250 to rent a vehicle to start to drive with LYFT. Upon the return of the rental, the money is refunded, minus any current fees or charges.

Hertz doesn't rent for Lyft anymore.. you would have to download the Lyft driver app and follow the directions on the app. And the only place in San Diego that rents cars for Lyft is Lyft. Word of caution.. the rental prices are different now and you will get charged for every mile you drive, regardless if you are giving a ride for a passenger or not.. $0.13 per mile for doing Lyft rides and $0.34 per personal mile... Credit or debit works fine for the deposit and you can use a different card for getting paid, that's what I did

You should have received instructions once you were approved to drive for Lyft which include the correct number to call and procedure

Wait until you get a text or email saying that your background has cleared before going to pick up the rental. I don't think express drive and background check are synced.

This is for Lyft driver only. When you return your car if you make an early appointment like 10 am, then show up at 930 you will be done shortly after 10 am which is official opening time.

Yes, you can set up your appointment directly on the app's onboarding process. Its not gonna be quite as soon as you would like though... Usually a couple weeks out. You will have to use a credit/debit card while signing up in the app for the $250 deposit.
