Bought a starter from them. Shut my suburban off. When I got back in and tried to start it there was a terrible sound like engine was coming apart. Tried cranking it again and same as sound. Afraid I'd damage my engine I called AP Mechanix, mobile mechanics. They checked starter and the bolts holding the starter together (not the bolts holding it to engine block) had come out. They put them back in, cranked engine, same noise. Again bolts had come out. Called this O'Riley's and the manager had no idea what bolts hold a starter together. He told me to call tow truck and bill the manufacturer. manufacturer said O'Riley's was responsible for the warranty. called O'Riley's support and they said fill out paperwork and O'Riley's was responsible. the lady I talked to knew exactly what bolts I was talking about, yet store manager had no idea .turns out there were no threads in the starter body to hold it in place. Manager of a parts store and doesn't know that two long bolts hold the starter together. Will never go to that O'Riley's again

Needed a battery, auto zone employee said he could not sell me one because it was raining 😑, came to O'Reilly Auto Parts instead, Kendal helped me out, found the battery I needed and I was on my way in less than 10 minutes, shout out to Kendal with his great customer service. 💯

The team at this location are generally helpful and knowledgeable. I like this particular location because it has ample parking in the lot and is well lit if you happen to need to work on your car past sunlight hours. It is also usually well stocked. I think only once in the many years being a patron have I had to get what I was there for at another location. All around, one of the better auto supply stores in San Diego.
