Staying here for Comic Con and really enjoyed it. Staff was outstanding! The representative that checked me in gave me an upgrade for my Platinum status and I really appreciated that. It made my week. The staff for breakfast was very helpful and the house keepers kept the room really clean and neat. It's less than a 10 minutes walk to the Convention Center, Door A.

This is a nice and comfortable spot on par with large hotels in cities everywhere. The rooms are probably more spacious than you'd find in top urban destinations like Manhattan or San Francisco, and the views of Downtown SD and the bay are nice from the higher floors. Central location by the Gaslamp quarter for easy walk to venues and dining. I had no complaints about the service or accommodations.

Great stay! Extremely helpful staff and we loved the attached restaurant and bar. Great breakfast to quickly get before we explored the area. Pro trip: get their early because there tends to a rush of people!

I’m a chemistry professor who was staying there during my conference. My SO came with, but was there to visit family. We do not share a last name, and my card was used to pay for the room. For nearly $300 a night, this room was… pretty bad. The AC didn’t get the room below 72 (despite being set to 68), the wallpaper was peeling in several areas, the cable in the room didn’t work (as stated by the maintenance engineer), and the hotel staff did not know whether the package I booked through conference rates got me an upgraded room… not a problem other than the first person at the front desk when I checked in guaranteed me I did. Everyone else… had no idea what I was talking about. The other bigger issue is their clear misogyny: The first morning I was there I walked from the guest wing elevators to get coffee in the lobby SB *and the concierge had me followed through the lobby by security*. I stated before my name was the one who booked the room. I was the primary guest on the room, and my SO was the “added” guest. I *paid* for the room with a card that had my name on it. All of this… and yet my (male) SO is the one who is getting all of the emails with receipts and requests for feedback sent to MY email address. I was going to let the peeling wallpaper, super loud industrial toilet and other things slide, but that is wildly frustrating.
