The hotel was nice. A little out of date but comfy safe and quiet. We go to San Diego every year looking for spots near old town. This was walking distance to our favorite spot EL COYOTE. We would love to stay again someday. Also the desk attendants were very nice and helpful not just trying to get customers in and push them away. Thanks again for a great experience and for having us.

A different design of a hotel. Parking in the area is fairly impossible. You have to use the parking garage. I have spent two nights here and everything was working fine. The motel is rather rustic (in my humble opinion), the staff was friendly and the price was attractive compared to other places in the area. Would I come back? I think I would stay in the suburbs next time

Listen, this isn’t the Ritz by any means, it’s just a quiet room with a comfortable bed that was fine for sleeping and feeling safe. The breakfast was okay, not a lot of variety, but it was fine. The desk guys were really friendly and helpful. The water was hot in the shower. And there was a nice assortment of pillows. If you’re looking for luxurious, look elsewhere. But if you want a nice quiet place that’s probably a little outdated, but a fine place to rest your weary bones then you won’t be disappointed.

Came here with my boyfriend our first time in SD. Perfect location, close to everything, very helpful staff. Our flight got in around noon and they already had our room ready. I think it is a family-run business - staff are really cohesive and have pride in their work. Love a free breakfast and coffee too. The only thing I would do to improve is maybe update the interiors - if it is feasible to do so while keeping the hotel on the cheap side. You can’t beat $48/night!

We stayed at the western Inn and walked to old town while in San diego. We did the trolley tour not sure if the same company foe the Christmas one and it was a lot of fun. We picked the trolley up in old town:)
