I read all these reviews before going to my appointment and they terrified me. I expected the worst from that place. However, there's no way I can give them anything less than 5 stars. While I agree the building needs some TLC, this is what they can provide for the money the government pays them so it's SSA's fault. The staff seemed nice. They greeted me at the door and everyone was pleasant. I waited an hour to be seen but the SSA scheduled two appointments at the same time so I can't blame them for that either. They apologized for the wait and said someone else was scheduled the same time I was. The therapist was professional and pleasant. I guess he did what he was paid to do. I don't expect him to say anything that would help my case because in reality, he knows nothing about me. He was paid to talk to me for a few minutes so how can he honestly make an educated decision about my condition? It's the SSA's fault.

I felt like I was getting in a physical therapy place, and the person that come after a hour and a half set on the chair and asking me to bending, turned right, left and I comply with everything. I even doubt if they are real doctors, don't look like doctor's, don't act like a doctor's not even examined me. But I guess Social security Should find a better place and a real doctor to examine us.

I had a very good experience here at S&L. They have kind doctors and an understanding staff. My wait was about 10 minutes. When I called to ask about my record release to my GP, they explained it will be sent to the practice by SSI and that it can take some time. The office is basic but clean. The building they occupy is a bit odd by my standards, but it is centrally located and there is free parking and an elevator; the words "serviceable" and "low overhead" come to mind (can't blame a doctor for that).

I had a terrible time understanding the woman who gave my mental status exam. She was not nice at all and asked questions I thought were inapropriate. The secretary was nice and the rest of the staff also.
