The Hotel desk staff have been helpful and accommodating. Very polite and customer service oriented. The backend of the hotel operations we take granted has been a struggle - housekeeping and Linen support. Hotel is a bit dated and had to request being moved to a different room due to pullout bed not functioning. Rooms with older a/c units are loud and likely to keep you up all night. Staff were supportive of getting us moved which helped. Would recommend if considering this area, looking for a little newer place for the extra 20-50 a night.

Where do I begin? The staff was polite but when we went to our room I was highly disappointed. The a/c was left on but when I went to turn it off the a/c vent was broken leaving full expose of hair, white lent stuff, and stuff I'm not sure if it's fried bugs or what. The bed skirts had white stains on them. The sofa bed I sat on and I almost fell through the floor and it was filthy. The arms of the sofa looked as if someone had been licking on the furniture. The bathroom was fine except the floor wasn't clean and the tub floor has black scuff marks all on it. So I decided let me chill out and go get some ice and relax with a ice cold water. I went to the ice machine and yuck! It was full of mold. Gross! As I read the other reviews, I can't share the 5 star experience because I didn't have it. Oh wait here are the true pain points, red vomit or juice stains on the side of the bed! Yes you heard me right. I spoke to the office manager the next morning and was compensated for $19 for parking and a few bucks off the room. Good luck staying here. I won't be back. Hot mess!

I don't even know where to begin to explain how absolutely wonderful this hotel and its employees are. I booked two rooms for day use upon return from a cruise. The last few days of the cruise I encountered an issue with my oxygen machine and was able to contact the hotel and arrange for delivery of a replacement to them. Not only did they agree to this, but they also stored the box and made arrangements for the rooms to be ready for us to minimize the amount of time we would need for check-in. Once we arrived and were in the room they delivered the box. We got settled and just a few hours later we found out our flight home was canceled. Again, the staff went above and beyond to extend our stay to overnight and offer us any and all assistance that they could. We spent a very pleasant evening in a comfortable room and had a stellar breakfast in the morning. Eggs, sausage, waffle maker and all of your continental breakfast items and a pretty decent cup of coffee. I heard there may be a pancake maker coming pretty soon! Again, we stayed for the day and checked out when it was time to go to the airport. If I ever were to find myself in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose this hotel.

Definitely no Hilton. Hotel is dated and needs refreshing and you'd think for as much as you can pay for a single night they could afford it! Make sure you get your stay in a travel package or you could be paying over $400 a night. However, it was secure enough that I didn't feel threatened after the first couple of days. Covid put the kibosh on shuttle service in San Diego, so expect to find your own ride to this hotel. If you rent a car you pay to park at the hotel for $19/night. Also, generic grab n go breakfast. Outdoor heated pool and hot tub. Poolside chairs smelled musty. They would do well to spray some bleach on them once in awhile. Hallways smelled like Marijuana from time to time, but hey, it's California, and I really don't think they cared if people smoked anything in a non smoking vicinity. Basically this was a crash pad that wasn't filled with transients, although they were not too far away from the hotel. Know that this is a hotel chain so there are still some standards. Sheets and towels were clean, had to get the refrigerator replaced and there was no microwave in the room.

Steak house is close by!
Well, the Thirteen and half dollar parking charge is disclosed clearly at the Choice Hotels website. It is also common practice for all the Hotel Circle Hotel's to charge it. If you used a third party booking company, maybe you should contact them. Nobody is required to park there. I seen many tour group's without vehicles when staying there.
I'm not sure. But there was a van sitting outside so it's a possibility..
This is the closest one and it is free: 5330 Linda Vista Rd, San Diego, CA 92110 These are their hours: Hours: Tuesday- Saturday: 7 AM - 7 PM
Try using the choice hotels website to contact them.
Hello! Our breakfast opens at 6AM Monday-Friday and 7AM on Saturday and Sunday.
The room that I reserved did (2 queen plus pullout couch sleeper)
Call the front desk from your room. I had a good experience during my visit and didn't have any of those problems.
They have designated smoking areas but no looked as if all rooms are non-smoking
I believe they do but you have to call them to confirm.
No, but right next door is the Hunter Steakhouse, which has a bar as part of the restaurant. Gets good reviews, and I enjoyed it. Also within walking distance is the Islands Bar and Grill, at the Crowne Plaza.
There was a space for one, but one was not provided for in the room that I had stayed in.
