We stayed three nights at this hotel, Thursday-Sunday, and we will never stay here again. Thursday night when I went to take a shower the water was lukewarm at best. I called main desk to see if maintenance could look at it and she said there was no maintenance in the hotel and wasn’t sure when they would be able to look at it. They were accommodating and let us switch rooms on the same floor. Valet parking is a joke, I should have done more research on this before booking. $35 a night and no room on the street to leave your car and hand the keys to the valet. More than once we had to sit in our for car 20 minutes waiting for the valet to move the cars in front so we could park in the valet zone. One evening we waited for 20 minutes because they couldn’t find the valet driver, even after calling him repeatedly. The rooms didn’t feel super clean and there should be a sign or a mention of how housekeeping works when you check in. We requested housekeeping Saturday morning and apparently you had to ask for it the night before, which we didn’t know. We had to change our own bed linen Saturday and had to leave dirty sheets and towels on the floor in the room. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Would not stay here again. Spend the extra money and stay in a better hotel down the street since the area around the hotel isn’t safe anyways.

Positive: My room was very clean and everything was stocked. I appreciate that the hotel was quiet and clean with no odors or rowdy guests. Negative: Front door is locked 24/7 since it¿s in a questionable neighborhood. Staff was pretty slow motion with everything. I had to wait at the front door for almost 20 mins to check in since there was no one at the front desk and the front door is always lock

The service was great. Every person we interacted with was super helpful. But the rooms were so gross. Stains all over the chair. It was a pullout that we needed for sleeping, and one of the nastiest things I'd ever seen in a hotel. They gave us extra sheets for it, but those sheets came with holes. The pillows on the beds were equally nasty when you removed the pillow cases. There was hair on the carpet and dust bunnies in the corners. Honestly, I can't believe Hilton is putting their name on this hotel, which is in dire need of help. Giving it 3 stars because I didn't see any bugs and breakfast was included.

Pros: Dog friendly Comfy bed Blackout curtains Location Cons: Check in was terrible In-room amenities Service Covid precautions My husband, dog, and I stayed at the Home2 Suites in Baltimore over a weekend for a wedding. I tried calling the night before we arrived about 6 PM to check if we could get an early check in; someone clearly not at the front desk picked up and forwarded me, then I was disconnected. When I called back I couldn't get a human being, only voicemails. Once we arrived about 3:45 (check in begins at 3) the room was not ready yet, so they told me 10 minutes and I went to take the dog for a walk. I came back and it was still not ready. I waited until almost 5 PM, two hours after check-in starts, to get into the room. They gave me one key for the two of us, even though it clearly says on the booking that there are two adults in the room. I also did not receive any information about breakfast times, wifi, check-out, parking, etc. Finally, I saw on a table behind the desk what looked like welcome bags, I'm assuming for the wedding guests since there was a room block, but I did not get one. The staff was very nice, though. Once I got into the room, it was clean and comfy. The bed was comfy, with breathable sheets, and excellent blackout curtains. We accidentally slept until 11 AM one morning! Amenities within the room were lacking, however. There were only three pillows (for two people?); we found later that there were more in a cabinet, but it was too late at that point. The shower gel and shampoo were empty too. We called and asked for more about 6 PM on the first night, and did not receive any the entire duration of our stay. The shower temperature was also very temperamental, and the TV signal kept cutting out. The hotel being dog-friendly was a big plus, and there is a park mere step from the hotel to take the dog out. The location is pretty good, walking distance to everything we needed, and parking at the top of the street generally available (parking also exists on the same street as the hotel but it was always full). One more note about safety: First, there seem to always be sitting around outside the front of the hotel and they don't have any obvious purpose there. They're nice enough, but is a bit weird. Also, there is signage everywhere saying masks are required for all guests, but not only is it not enforced, the staff aren't wearing masks either.
