The District on Collins Apartments

This apartment has a nice outdoor aura but the management is wanting especially in addressing the trash issues. The place looks like a dumpster. You explain to the leasing office and they say they will do something which they never ever do. Look at the photo below it has been like this for the last 2 months and nothing seems to be moving. I even don’t know how the postal servicemen do their job.

I am aware that some of the tenets tend to have complaints. However, these apartments are old. Naturally there will be issues. I think tenets may be inclined to complain about management. The employees who work the grounds are (apparently) not able to complete task in a timely manner. That reflects on management. The managers- Aron and Marsi(l think)- are both cordial, soft spoken and accommodating.

Currently here and it’s horrible experience! Roaches are really bad, Maintenance issues on “renovated” units, horrible attitudes with staffing especially the property manger,didn’t have hot water or heat upon moving in, office never answers phone and ask the same questions when I call on status of work orders as if I never placed them! Trash area always looks horrible, Water gets cut off once a week for some “maintenance” that effects your whole area! They want there rent on time but it’s not worth it when this is what it looked liked upon my move in and they can’t get it together! Do not move here unless you are desperate like I was at the time! Covid made it hard out here for single mamas and the district on Collins made it worse!

No stars> Erin lied about processing my application. They choose which applications they want to approve. I was denied without a given reason. They dont answer the phones. He comes off as rude a prejudice assuming statistical situations for black people. I chose this apartment because I want lower rent so I can travel with family. A Person shouldn't have to explain that in an application. Either way its their loss. Im sure they wont give and app fee back. It wont kill me but I know he didnt process my application.
