I don't think it'z a very safe place to stay at all and they can't promise ur safety there at all

VERY poor care for residents who are homeless mixed in with substance abusers and ex-convicts and overload convicts given light security privileges. Food given is thawed-out frozen food and no outside food is allowed in the facility. People are only allowed a light bag for personal belongings to carry in, and you need to provide your own toilet paper where no privacy is given. No property is safe as residents are almost given free hand to sreasresteal from their neighbors and health Care is minimal, if any.

I still do not know much about this shelter, even I been there almost 2 mos. The way I like here is offering more for homelessness on another size about coffee and some snacks. Nursery. Some this reasons for helping the homeless when they have no place to go after weak up at the morning. Need more clean in side. I mean at least bathroom and shower.

The case workers go out of there way to help people out. My own experience is, the help I received far exceeded my expectations. I can't say enough to show my appreciation for what they did for me. A special thanks to Yomary Rodriguez Estrella. Super person.

Son stays there...they even have special section for workers...and a smoking area(most shelters once you go in..u can't go out and smoke) he says there's alot of nutballs but that's at ANY shelter!!! Staff are great.
Some are willing to help, but on the other hand they just sit around gossiping instead of helping the homeless.
Ive been to hell. Mass ave got me a crippling addiction
No it doesnt directly you have to walk down mass ave and pass Boston Medical Center 3 quicker ways 1 Red Line to andrew and take 10 bus to Copley get off at Southampton st its the only spot with Southampton in it. 2 Its a 10 min walk from Andrew also when you leave Andrew walk over the highway and up the street the street that has the overpass over the highway is Southampton st 3 take either the 8 bus to Harbor Point from Ruggles or the 10 bus to City Point from Back Bay the bus stop is across the street get off at Mass ave and Island st walk across Mass ave through the parking lot of All Toen And Mcdonalds cross at the lights and pass the Southampton st bus stop to find the shelter
Yes, they will
Joel is right just give them a call explain to them your situation im sure they will help you out they did for me good luck
Listen, its not the staffs fault. But it absolutely is like prison. To be 100% unbiased id say there are multiple prisons in mass that are better to stay at then this place. People herd like sheep in & out. Instead of having an hour outside they have to sit outside all day. Nobody there has transportation outside of a bus & your surrounded by viscous drug addicts. Theres zero rehabilitation. Whatsoever. Because fact is, if somebody was homeless and wanted to get clean this is literally the worst place imaginable to go to. People are lined up on the sidewalk from dawn to dusk with needles in theyre neck and zombie like movements are made up & down the strip. Again, the staff didnt make this. But theyre not a dry shelter. My friend justin has been there off and on for 10 years and he basically makes a living sell his medication outside the shelter, in broad day infront of numerous police vehicles supervising and when i say make a living i mean he sells medication for herion.
No
anytime 24 hours a day
Yes they always open
They do A lottery looker every month but they only take 10 o 15 people,I'm eating 6 month to get my looker the give you a looker for 6 month but the locker I'd small
Yes there are. I am one of them. If you to meet me in person you would never think that I am homeless. Homelessness can be the consequence of a number of things. I don't smoke, drink, or get high. I am among other things a minister of music.
The shelter is open 24/7- 365 days a year. You can walk in any time of day. Just be aware that bed assignments are given out begining at 1:00 P.M. From 7:00 A.M. to 1:00 PM they are cleaning the dorms and bathrooms, laundering the linens and blankets, and putting meals together. So if you show up at say, 9:00 A.M, you'll be let in, but you will have to wait till 1:00 PM to get a bed number and sheets and a blanket. You can watch TV in the cafeteria, or in one of the TV rooms, or read a book. There are books but I wouldn't call it a library. Bring your own reading material. I recommend bringing ear plugs so you can sleep. This is what's known as a 'Wet' shelter. That means they let people in regardless of the condition they are in. Lots of dual diagnosis type people. (Psychiatric issues compounded by substance abuse.) They do have medical staff. And it's a few blocks from BMC. You see EMT's all the time. Meals 3 x day, coffee + breakfast 5:00 A.M.
They or I can not let you know if he's there or not, due to confidentiality. However, the police could go and inquire about him, which they would only give bed stay. I hope this help you. I hope you find him. Praying for you.
Yes, because of a gas spill.
