The idea is great but this shelter is like jail. You only get a sheet. You have to sleep with your clothes shoes on because the junkies will steal your belongings.there no lockers to put your things, there's no pillows.... The bathroom and the showers smell like pee... I don't even think the staff even clean the dorm areas...(it's a wet shelter ) so there's all kinds of addicted folks at the shelter... The government or the state needs to help this shelter... The staff are very nice and friendly πππ. Boston Mass needs more and better shelters for the homeless folks. Let's not forget they are humans too... Stop building condos that folks can't even afford. I hope this shelter gets the help that it needs.ππΏππ

People are bringing too much stuff which makes them irritated due to the weight and bothered at the end of a long day to struggle to find jobs and no housing. One person who is 22 kept saying her mom was a sabotager. I'm really sorry I didn't connect enough. Mine is too and I should have tried to bond more and open up to people in the same predicament. Boston City Council is really on our side and relates to us. I'm relocating to Huntsville Alabama where NASA is more than just space camp there are hundreds of cheap apartments in the $400/month range. U of Alabama Huntsville is packed with science. For now I'm kind of stuck in Mobile temporarily. If you stay here where there is no storage, you don't need so much stuff and might as well get a passport and enjoy life more. Flights out of the USA are as low as $100 or $65 I've seen from Providence Airport on Norwegian Airline or Logan to Reykjavik on the modern exciting discount WOW Airline cheap! The Carbibean is in the backyard go for the adventure! Having a boring job just to pay to be alone in an apartment doesn't make sense. Kingston house treats us well. Wanda is really dedicated. you can charge your devices right next to the bunk beds. There's hot water for showers and dinner is good Thai Noodles gourmet sandwiches. The volunteers are very polite and nonjudgmental. The women's floor has filled up lately whereas before I could get in late at night.

Here is the number: 617-482-8819 It's better if you walk in and ask for Mike Wade for an intake. Walk-ins hrs are from 1p-3p, the women starts lining up at 4:30. The reason I said walk in instead of calling in it's because they never answer their phone and they don't returns phone calls. Hope this help! π
It depends what program. If you are in the men's shelter, yes you can work nights. You can also work nights if in the women's shelter, but it is 1st come 1st serve and there may not be a bed by the time one gets out of work and to the shelter.
I haven't gotten a straight answer yet. From what I (kinda) understand yes there is a curfew that's somewhere between 10 and 12pm. BUT if you miss a night-even if you call-you may lose your bed. This is just from what I've witnessed. What the official guidelines are IDK. Consult the 8 Ball I guess.
