Great location right on the beach. The pools are great. However, everything is resort prices. There's a 7/11 a couple blocks north which provide better prices but it's costly, and everything costs. The week we were here they also had a lot of problems with the elevators. We had to evacuate twice for fires, or at least alarm triggering events, in two days! This may be a one off, but other more regular visitors we spoke too here have said it's an issue. Still, not bad for a place on the beach, but nothing to rave about.

The staff was great. Our air conditioning unit didn't work. They were there with another one within 30. Desk was friendly. Pizza hut associates were 👍 great. Our room smelled like the sewer due to the bathroom. We had to keep our bathroom door closed. We were on the beach. Beds were comfortable.

Older hotel which has been renovated. We stayed in the Breckenridge building. Small elevators, and few to no bellman to haul your luggage. The rooms are kind of small with older tiny bathrooms, and due to the humidity they never really dry out so they kind of smell. You are paying for the beautiful St Pete beachfront property, and paying handsomely for that!

Top notch service and amenities! Too much to mention. A multitude of kids and teen activities. Beautiful outdoor areas that were kept clean ALL the time. The staff I encountered were all super friendly and helpful. Great music and drinks and food. The price point was what you would expect on the beach and fair in my opinion. You also have the option of using Rumfish resort next door. I will recommend this place to my friends. The room was spacious and clean and VERY quiet (even though it was spring break) and the view was UNBEATABLE!!

Yes. Both great Properties. The Tradewinds is better though.
Hello, we do have transportation options that can be pre-arranged through the resort. Please visit www.tradewindsresort.com/explore/transportation for more information!
They do have elevators and everything is wheelchair accessible. There are ramps. During my experience they didn’t offer an golf cart services to get around the property but everything was handicap friendly.
The slide is open. We were there between the 5th and 11th of May.

The more economical rooms have double beds.
Perfect place for kids and teens! Multiple pools, putt putt and the beach.
Yes, they have a shuttle service on site. Talk to Shirley. She is super helpful. There is also a service called Super Shuttle. They will make multiple stops, but are a good option. Uber was great and most economical.
I had good internet connectivity
No
We were there a couple weeks ago. First row cabanas are $15 and you get it for the whole day. 2nd row cabanas can be reserved, but if you're not using it by a certain time (1pm, I think), they "can" reseat it (they'll give it to someone else). 1st row cabanas will not be reseated, they're reserved for you with a name card whether you use it all day or not at all. I believe cabanas beyond the 2nd row are first come, first served. Putting your belongings on a cabana does not reserve it - signs on property state this.
They're trying to be stricter about that during Covid, but I had relatives visit while we stayed, and nobody gave them any trouble about using the amenities, they just needed a parking pass.
No clue, need to contact Tradewinds
It is absolutely dog friendly! They have special rooms for pet owners, they have a designated area for dogs to play off-leash and relieve themselves, etc. We saw many people with their dogs during our stay last week!
Yes...they have a whole section for pets and service animals.
We don't have anything on property, but there is a boat launch off of Blind Pass Road. You can try Blind Pass Marina. I hope this helps! Enjoy your weekend.
Some packages they offer can make it all inclusive but there are so many food choices all around.
Yes, you can definitely visit The SandBox Beach Lounge. We have live entertainment there and at RumFish Grill, plus amazing drinks and food. If you dine at RumFish Grill, reservations are recommended. We look forward to your visit and hope you stay with us in the near future!
Although we may not be all-inclusive, you should check out our value-packed room packages. We offer a variety of room packages that gives you activities, food and beverage vouchers and more, all included in the package price! We also offer a variety of amenities and activities all included in the Resort Amenity Fee, such as unlimited water slide rides during your stay, nightly campfire s'mores, paddleboat rides and more!
Yes! You can buy Day Passes for March and April on our shop site at JustLetGoShop.com. There are dates in March and April that are not available due to occupancy, but if the date is showing on JustLetGoShop.com, then you can purchase it. Looking forward to seeing you on the beach at TradeWinds!
Hi Susan. To make the initial reservation, we only need a one-night deposit for guarantee. If you want to payoff the balance (pay for your stay before arrival) and are paying via a credit card authorization form, then we ask for a copy of the driver's license and credit card (you can blackout the last 4 numbers for security reasons). Reason is, we need to make sure the name on the card matches the name/signature on the authorization form and the driver's license. You can always blackout the birthday, date issued, etc. We only need the signature and name. I hope this helps but if you have any more concerns, please feel free to call us and one of our onsite reservation agents will be happy to help with any of your questions. We hope you enjoy your stay at the beach!
Hi Michael. Yes! Babysitting Services are provided 24 hours a day with advance reservations. All babysitters are licensed and bonded. You can visit the Concierge desk located in the lobby and they will be happy to assist you with the reservation or provide you with more information, such as pricing. I hope this helps answer your question. We look forward to seeing you on the beach!
Yes there is one adults only pool at the northern end of the property.

They seem to be very flexible. 3 pm is check in but they will let you in a room as soon as its available.
From my Google research, it was once the Breckenridge Motor Inn.

No. In January of 1999, CEO Tim Bogott formed an investment group to acquire Fortune Hotels, Inc., parent company of the TradeWinds Island Resorts.
Not the place I would recommend for a Hmoon couple. This is much too family oriented... lots of kids...!!! Besides, this resort does not offer any "packages". Once you are checked-in, everything else is additional. All meals, all drinks, all coffees are additional.
Nope they are all on property except for one which is located at the Guy Harvey. I think it's like 6 to 8 bars
On the beautiful beach down by the water where the sand is hardest
Yes, you will need to see the consieer to reserve it and the will direct you to the pick point in the facilities. The brochures they hand out have pricing for rentals, even reserving a cabana on the beach front row.
Heavy rock event.
I never saw one at and i doubt ine eould work on the beach. Modt properties have walkways, but there are a lot if steps and ramps.
No, I think you have to be a member or guest of a member at the resort
Tampa International Airport is 30 miles away, via Interstate 275. St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport is 21 miles away, via Interstate 275. TradeWinds is conveniently located just 10 minutes off I-275.
The Airport Shuttle? Youll want to call and confirm with them, i believe resort shuttles stop around 5pm. We arranged travel through a separate company.
Publix Super Market offers delivery service in the area.
You can rent the beach Cabana online the night before or you can walk up to the booth in the morning. I don't remember if it was 8 a.m. or 9 a.m.. the front row is an additional charge, but behind the front row is included in travel winds stay. When we went (Feb) there were plenty of open options.
They are pretty common in Florida. You'll see them all over the place.
No meals included. Other restaurants in walking distance, not cheap. We kept snacks in the room. If you book a suite, includes 2 burner stove and refrigerator.
Lots of churches near by
Yes there is by the pool... if you call the resort sometimes they can accommodate the early check in...they did with us
Definitely not this time of the year. You can catch some good deals in the summer months though. You can also stay at the Guy Harvey Outpost, which is part of the Tradewinds and enjoy all the amenities of both resorts and save money and it's only a few minutes walk.
We are a family-friendly resort with activities for all ages! Check out some of the kid's activities offered here: https://www.tradewindsresort.com/explore/kids-activities/beach-fun
Very clean rooms, stayed for only a couple days but wish it was longer.
No it is not an all inclusive resort. Your activity bracelet, which you pay for with the daily resort fee, gives you a cabana on the beach. Paddle boats, water slide, paddle boards, etc. Many really good restaurants and you can also use activities at the Outpost. Watch the sunset while sitting on the outdoor couches at the fire pit. Try it. We really liked it there and will be returning.
TradeWinds does not offer employee housing, but you can check out our other amazing perks and career openings here: https://serviceisourpassion.com/
We were there after the hurricane and there wasn't any damage. They were up and running .
