I was able to book online and was taken in within a few minutes of that appointment. The front desk was managed by the kindest, friendliest person I have ever met. She made check-in and insurance a breeze. I was seen by a very nice nurse and PA for a UTI. They called in my prescription to CVS which was ready by the time I arrived back at my rental. I can't say enough good things about this Urgent Care from easy parking to scheduling to competent care.

Just the worst! I brought my father in with multiple symptoms. They took our payment first (their #1 priority), we waited for a while, then they took us into a room. Someone in a white lab coat entered the room and appeared to be FURIOUS! “You have multiple symptoms here! 4 of them!! You have to pick one and we’ll treat that, and that alone.” “But what if the 4 symptoms are multiple symptoms of something larger?“ I asked. “You have to pick what we treat him for!!!” was her response. Now, I have a fine arts degree. In my mind, that does NOT make me qualified to do a medical diagnosis, call me crazy. I asked, “Can we see a doctor who might make a diagnosis?” “No!” So we went with, some kind of infection and they treated him for… an ear infection. He had a urinary tract infection. Hard for a novice to diagnose, but pretty easy for a doctor. 24 hours later he collapsed and was taken to hospital by ambulance. It’s a week later and we’re still in the hospital. So, would I recommend this urgent care? No. On top of callous treatment and terrible medical practices, they have terrible masking protocols. They must have cold chins, because they wear their masks pulled down. Stay away.

I’m not sure if this is the hospital ER or not. This is the one I am so upset about. The attending Physician was Michael Blair DO. He was the most arrogant Dr. I have ever met. He belittled my symptoms and me. It was on Dec 10. I got no relief and was in so much pain. The following day I had to go to the walk in clinic. There I saw Dr Depinto who I would easily give 5 stars to. He was wonderful. In fact everyone at that clinic was wonderful. I got my symptoms under control very quickly. The hospital on the island is still as bad or worse than it ever was. I will never go back there. The only reason I went there was because of my Dr. Guitterz advice when I went to her office that day due to pain in my neck and muscle spasms.

Needed an antibiotic for a sore throat. The main office suggested a telephone call with a MD on staff would be sufficient. However several hours before the scheduled tele/visit I was informed that I must go into the Walk-In/Urgent Care facility. What happened to high tech audio/video visitations? That was a terrible experience. It felt like I was in a Third World Country. When I arrived the place was packed with sick people. I was told that there is a 2 hour wait because there was only one practitioner available. After waiting 3 hours in a cold waiting room I was ushered into an office for another half hour wait. While I was waiting in the cold office I could hear staff members outside the door having a wonderful time laughing and joking around. And, the sole practitioner for the day in a packed Urgent Care Office was not even a MD. She was helpful and I got my prescription but the experience was horrible. I blame it on Gulf Coast Medical Group Corporate for money-savings understaffing procedures.

Questions & Answers

I have a lab appt. Thurs AM. Can I move that appt. up to Mon or Tues? Or, can I just "walk in", and wait for an opening either one of those days? Jeremiah OConnor, DOB 11-02-42.

They do but I believe you need to have symptoms. They perform the test while your in your car, you need to call them before you get there.

I am a patient of Dr. Broadway who is in your group. I received an Email stating that it is possible to receive Urgent Care when she does not have same day appointment. Does this apply to me being a Freedom Health insured individual?
