This is a nice quaint Minnesota state park that is off the beaten track. My Family came here 50 years ago! I love it and we love the canoe-in sights! The backpack site, 1 & 2 are phenomenal!

Really enjoyed the spot we got, we could look right out on the lake! Probably went at a bad time, the mosquitoes were heavy! They didn’t care about mosquito spray and they definitely didn’t care about fire! We got to see plenty of wildlife and it was relatively quiet and relaxing. Wish the spots were a little spread out, however everybody kept their distance. I read about the construction that was going on during that time however I wasn’t expecting it to affect our camping. The fishing pier wasn’t in the water so we had to fish at the shore, which meant weeds and sticks were our catch of the day. Other than our weather issue that weekend, we had a blast!

It was so peaceful at the Scenic State Park while we were camping for 4 days. They had very clean bathrooms and a wide open space for our tents. It's a really nice place to go camping at.

Such a special place! The Chase Point hike is absolutely beautiful (with historical blurbs along the way), canoe rental was a great addition to our trip, and staff were friendly and helpful. Restrooms, camp sites, and trails were all well-maintained. Drinking water was easily accessible at many points throughout the campsite. Definitely worth the drive from the Twin Cities! Thank you MN State Parks team.

There are electric sites, no water or sewer hookups. There is potable water available.

No actual bike trails in the park like Itasca but plenty of walking trails and roads.
There are 14 miles of trails in Scenic State Park. If it is a marked on the map as a trail, you can hike it.
You should be able to get that information here: https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/index.html. This park does have the largest sites I have ever seen. They also have a ton of pull through sites.
Yes, leashed. Our dog loved it up there!
