Unforgettable
Very poor communication of the sheriffs at this court. Missed a hearing because I was never called after waiting for 4 hours, I checked up on the status while checking in with 3 different people on 6 different instances. After being frustrated for waiting 4 hours, I was informed that the hearing had passed and that I would have to follow up with the public defender.

As much as I do not like to admit it I had to go to court to deal with a ticket. When ever you have to go to court its never fun, other then that it was not that bad. I can say out of all the Sheriffs and other people that run the court house 1 lady was rude and thought she was to good. Sad I know but EVERYBODY ELSE all the way up to the judge was respectful and really just wanted to help you. I thought i'd be there half the day but was done before 9:30😍😍😍. The place was very clean including restrooms, they had snack machines and water dispensers. You have to go so just know other then then the hefty fine your gonna pay or jail time at least it'll be at a clean court room.

They may not let you inside of the actual court with the judge. Unless you're part of the court hearing. This has been a thing since covid started

Hi Kaneasha, I don't have specific information on your case. I suggest contacting the Family Law Division to better answer your questions. https://www.kern.courts.ca.gov/divisions/family_law/contact_information
You would probably have to abide by what the Court Orders! Aren't you the "mother" on the birth certificate? If they are suggesting you attend drug classes &/or testing, you abide by what they rule! It's up to the Court about hair follicle testing, NOT what the "absent father" suggests! Have his tested??? Do what they say w/bells on. You probably have the ONE CHANCE of keeping your children!! Walk the path of the straight & narrow! You can do it! Good luck...

Hi Timmy, the judicial branch of government is charged with interpreting the laws of the State of California. It provides for the orderly settlement of disputes between parties in controversy, determines the guilt or innocence of those accused of violating laws, and protects the rights of individuals. The California court system, the nation's largest, serves over 39 million people with more than 2,000 judicial officers and 18,000 court employees. The head of the judicial branch is the Chief Justice of California. https://www.courts.ca.gov/7318.htm

Hi Tracy, you can contact the Juvenile Justice Center at 661-868-4270.
Hi Patricia, what court are you referring to? Department 8 is located at 1415 Truxtun Ave. on the first floor.
There are windows on the main or 1st floor that are titled above each one! If you are trying to locate a Clerk within the Courtroom, you need to check at those windows to contact them. You go in the doors facing Truxton Ave. be ready to meet Officers @ the metal detectors, put shoes (the rest of clothing) back on (lol) and turn left! Good luck!
You would have to check your paperwork, or call the Court Clerks office! If you miss it, it could be thrown out or orders granted to the other party! Good luck, Mr. Gross!
You are only required to show "due diligence"! Do you know that he is where you say he is? How? You need proof for the Court, so be prepared! They may want you to send " Proof of Service by Mail" w/the Court Clerk! The clerk mails & signs your service! They may require that you place an ad in his community newspaper! I dunno, depends on a lot of different factors! Ask that Clerk for you a copy of the mail, file it w/your case file, submit it & hopefully they let you move on!
1st, proof of service doesn't mean the person being served has to sign the papers he/she have been served with! Proof of service is a document which states that the person you need to have served has received the paperwork you testify to the Court that he has received! The person who actually "serves" the paperwork is the person who signs the document for the Court to acknowledge that the person being served received them! See? Now, "proof of service by mail!". Same thing...a reputable person signs the Court document that states whoever you want served & with whatever you want served, signs the same, stating that they personally mailed whatever to whomever and files it with the Court! Any paperwork received on your Case is available through the Court Clerks office (windows) or the Law Library! Calm down & try to get an attorney!!
That's not a very good idea! Go through the Court Clerks Office of whatever Court you are intending to be heard in! Good luck!
You don't say if the papers are the beginning of the divorce proceedings, or the final decree! Regardless, the person who served you signs the Proof of Service and submits it to the Court that you were served! As long as you are "acknowledged" as the person to be served, you don't have to sign anything, or even accept the papers! The server can literally drop them at your feet & you are "served".
I believe that paperwork regarding Family Law is available across the street, at 1215 TRUXTON Ave. KC Municipal Court! However, the Law Library (4th floor) Superior Court House can access for you any information regarding Family Law & can educate you as to any issue you may need! Good Luck!
It should be on your paperwork also! Don't mess around, they mean business! The Court usually starts by 9:00 a.m.! If you are not there, or have to make up some "thing". for being late or absent, they issue FTA Warrants & it only gets worse! Good Luck...
Yes, but I seriously suggest you get a receipt! You can pay at the window near the entrance also! Good luck...
So go up to mistemenor court or window since she missed her court date she wont go to jail will she
I am going to presume it was a misdemeanor case - go to the misdemeanor window and tell them you missed your hearing. They will help you clear it up.
I don't understand the issue of a "fee waiver"? If you were granted custody of your children, you should have paperwork stating as such! Call the police & accompany them to pick up your children! Understand that your spouse could be in Big Trouble before you take on this issue! If you don't pick them up as ordered, you give your spouse an " out
I don't actually understand your question & w/the word "Law" you have to be really precise about what you are asking!? There are "Family Law" clerks at the windows in the 1415 address, but they do not give out legal advice, just the paperwork that YOU request! There is also "Family Law" clerks @the 1215 address! They too, have paperwork that YOU request! When most people say "Family Law Office" they are wanting the Kern County Municipal Court @1215 Truxton Avenue! Good Luck!
The family law department is in the 1215 truxtun building
Most Government Services are closed on Federal Holidays! Columbus Day is one!
First, the Judge & probation office determine your sentence, not you! Whichever County incarcerates you, will contact the other...& they give the other 30 days to pick you up (I think)! If no one contacts you for transportation, they drop the other pending case! Usually in the "Interest ofJustice"! I doubt either County will want to transport you back & forth for trial! Talk to the probation office on your first appearance! Good luck!
Yes! The clerks at the windows will have a "packet" w/any paper work that you will need to file! If you need help, the Law Library on the 3rd floor is "great". There are clerks there that assist you w/all paperwork! Good luck...
You can start by calling & asking the dispatcher of your request! But...it would actually be up to the Department that issued it! You can go to the Courthouse & review your case privately! In some cases you can obtain a "Cite & Release" which means that they acknowledge you appeared, thus no warrant & they take you at "your word" that you will appear in Court on the new date on the form! Good Luck!!
Your attorney should have a copy of your case. If he/she does not, there should be a website for that in Kern County. (retrievable). If not, you may have to travel! Did you try the " Hall of Records"? They usually have ALL records, if not...they are capable of accessing them! Good luck!
Try contacting Kern County Juvenile Services, or The Human Services Department...
I don't know if you are the one being evicted, or the one doing the evicting! If you are low income, you can ask to file a "fee waiver!". Otherwise, a person needs to pay a pretty spendy fee! The respondent also pays a fee to file a response! Hopefully, you win the case & receive a "judgement" in which you can request that the "other" person reimburse court fee's & costs! Good luck!
It depends on your charges! Courts can "come to order" at any time, although they rarely do! Fridays & Federal Holidays... No! Most cases are heard at 8:00 a.m. Then some at 1:00 p. Your paperwork or whomever you're asking about, should stipulate all appearances & what "phase" your case is in! Good luck!
Anita's answer sounds correct, but your question about the Superior Court is 1415 Truxton Ave. Good Luck!
I would say the Hall of Records! That is where you can get Marriage Certificates...but, Court Cases are available at the Courthouse! They may give you a copy, but Certification is in the Law Library! They may also be able to give you a copy & certify it! And Money! Good Luck
You actually need to know ahead of time, if you are concerned about a Court Case! A trip to the Courthouse may be the most comforting, since some court cases do not extend appearance's! They do issue warrants for no shows! Call your attorney to make sure they have you covered! Just in case!!
You can - it is private information. Contact the HR dept. They will give you what they can.
Superior Court has the paperwork & the filing windows, but where the case is actually heard may be either court!
Hey Raquel about your question the petitioner always has to show up. Now the restraining order will not go through unless you have a very very good excuse as to why you did not make it to your own court proceeding. Now quick question to you are you Raquel Duran from arvin? If not sorry . and hope my answer helps you out.
No! The Kern County Personnel Building located at 1115 Truxton Ave. (the one with the marble pillars) houses the Kern County Recorders Office! That is where people go to be legally married! Although, I imagine any Judge has the authority to marry people! Superior Court Judges usually handle "Criminal " cases! But, what is #212 at Superior Court heading mean??
