You need to file paperwork moving the Court to hear your case! You can file a fee waiver w/the Court Clerk & if you qualify a Public Defender "may" be assigned! Expunging cases can be extensive work! If your cases were handled by the PD, you stand to be more able to use them again! But, you would have to put in the legwork involved! Since your case is inactive, you may not qualify for protection of an attorney! Try Legal Aid & the Law Library to help you w/the paperwork! Good Luck!
