The Queen Mary is a superb attraction. Under mounting pressure, the Queen Mary is kept to a highly presentable standard and faithful to her original finish. She look glorious in her mooring and great to see her on this visit. Definitely worth a visit on a really enjoyable walk around the harbour area.

Haven't been inside the queen Mary but the area around it is just as fun. There's a small park there and the Waterview is very nice and relaxing. Come see the queen Mary and maybe have a picnic here. Had a great time

The hotel and tours are closed due to COVID. But an impressive site to stop by briefly. The parking is free for less than 30 minutes. That being said when I went there the exit toll was disabled and open so even if I stayed longer I wouldn't have to pay.

I love history and I love haunted places, so this was a great place to explore from me. You can explore so much of the ship at your leisure, or you can participate in a haunted tour. I roamed around the ship from 2:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. by myself just exploring freely and spooking myself out. We stayed in a cabin for a couple of nights and it was very comfortable. They had a great mix of comfort and convenience along with original fittings, fixtures, decorations that really take you back in time.
The ship has numerous exhibits, Museum areas, tons of information to learn from. The staff were very friendly, including the captain who we met at one of the bars on board - he was not drinking, just doing the rounds and introducing himself.
We ate at the Winston Churchill restaurant, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was phenomenal. I enjoyed being on this ship so much and I would love to go back.
I was security last weekend.. When the freestyle concert.. Too busy to chase ghost.. I even invited my wife.. And my daughter had her sweet 16 there too.. But I got too wasted to remember if I saw any ghosts.
It's Maiden Voyage was in 1936 so it's quite old, which you can sense upon entering and every noise is easily heard..it might contribute to a "creepy" feeling.
That being said, they do offer a haunted areas tour and a ghost hunting tour.
My friend went to a certain room which was known to be ‘haunted’ and heard tapping and eerie noises and found orbs in the room from pictures she took. Shane Dawson from YouTube had the same experience.
I stayed there, alone, and my room was freezing, even though it was 78° outside and my room said 76°. You could almost see my breath!! I did not stay in the haunted room, but I do believe they, ghosts, followed me anyway. Its worth the stay!!!
Yes but be warned that there are no air conditioning units in the rooms and the floors are very uneven, we stayed in a mini suite and had problems with one tolet didn't flush real well and we got hardly any sleep because of a person who wanted to smoke set off the alarm system for the whole boat, on a brighter note the ship does have an exhibit of the things that princess Diana wore and a percentage of the money goes to Cancer society in her name.
The first class lounge in the bow of the boat is really first class we had a great time the drinks are really nice or if you want to go to the store the midship store has Starbucks and other things that you get onboard.
Now if you're looking for a white glove service then go up to Churchill's for fine dining.
Sunday brunch is as follows. Prices: $59.95 General Admission, $24.95 children (4-11) (Holiday pricing: $69.95 General Admission/$24.95 children 4-11). Tax and gratuity is additional. (As of 11/25/17)
Closed for renovation. Huge amounts of money required to stabilise the condition. Just finished 3 weeks on route 66 travelling from Scotland. Part of my bucket list was to board the Queen Mary, totally gutted not to be able to.
yes the whole ship is on practically haunted I've been there a couple times so you can get an idea of what I'm saying you can watch videos on YouTube on world's most haunted places and the stories that they tell you and they show you there are actually true 100% true nothing's fake it's 100% real this place is haunted
Does room B340 really has ghost living in the room ?

Well It is the single most haunted room in the ship and almost one of the most haunted places in the world. Yes their is a ghost in the room and it does not like women. I have seen that everytime a woman stays they always leave with cuts on their legs.
Honestly going on the tours, or following with the tours will give you alot of information, staying on the boat helps you understand how people who stayed there lived. I went specifically because of Shane's Video and it took us a whole day to find the isolation ward.
57 people lost their lives on the Queen Mary and there are many documented sightings of ghosts however I've been staying here for a week now and would recommend coming in cooler months as she gets very congested in certain rooms as there is no air, no windows and no fans!
They say it is but I stayed two nights and had no encounters. But I really enjoyed the haunted tour. They are also having a haunted house you can go through in the parking lot if your into that.
Yes. (Not really, I explored the ship at midnight and 3 AM both days I was there and nothing happened. The weirdest thing was a coolant leak near room B340, but those type of leaks happen all the time. The reason it is said to be haunted is because in the late 90s Disney owned the ship and attempted to make it a haunted attraction so they invented the stories.) Its really haunted, get spooked.
we did it all. Tour, even spent the night. Creepy yes. Scary no. But holloween is very different. Spend the night on holloween. Thats the scariest the locals said
A ship is most definitely a hotel in this case. As it was basically a floating luxury hotel before. There is a neat 3d theater that you can learn all about her history. She is a living museum, has 3 restaraunts I believe. A Starbucks. Beautiful view. We just roamed the ship. We took a VIP ghost tour and it was way overbooked so the noisy onlookers scared any spooks that night. We stayed in the 2 room family sweet, but no spirits unfortunately besides the wine we bought at the wine tasting on board earlier.
Yes very much so. I was apart of a massive events like 3k plus people and got on the QM some how got lost and found my self alone on deck when i knew thousands of people were there. My suggestion use the buddy system because i was almost lost to the queen
If you are asking about the haunted tours, yes I believe you can make reservations. However, I'm not sure if the QueenMary is currently open, you should visit their website.
The only opportunity for our children and grandchildren to visit where we were married, 47 years ago. We are tremendously disappointed, as we are set to visit my 95 year young mom who would have been going with us down memory lane.
Nothing can be verified by modern science. Is all on each individuals belief. I am one of them none believers unless it happens to me. I am glad that I don't believe in such things. More power to the people that believe on this 😁
is room b340 open as i wached a youtube video from the youtubers sam and colby and was intreaged to know more as i know a girl called jackie died from drownig in the first class pool and a cook was burned to death and a 19 year old boy called john

It seems to drown every investment group that gets involved with it.
Ppl just like to say a boat is haunted to scare others away because they wanted the queen all to themselves . Imagine what it would be like to have your own ship ?
How many people died on the Queen mary? I know of the boy that was crushed in the boiler room but I don't know how many people died. I like the Queen Mary's history and I've seen videos about it and room B340 is by far my favorite room :)

No , this ship never got struck by a tsunami. They park this ship to make it historical museum.
The queen mary tours are closed right now should be open next year. The submarine they dont allow tours anymore due to safety reasons. My best friend lives down by it and i go to see him alot like the kast 2 years or so and he said he has been trying to get a tour the last 2 to 3 yeara of the submarine and they tell him they dont anymore due to saftey reasons. The queen mary tours stopped because of covid.
No staying inside until the pandemic is lifted. If you are asking if it's safe due to ghosts, I would say that it is safe. I have never heard of anyone coming out terrified. 🙋👻
Is the queen Mary haunted tour open during the pandemic?

That's what they say. I did hear noises and banging on doors during my stay.
It is a boutique hotel. It is a historic ship that also was used in World War 2 to transport troops. It is suppose to have been one of the largest ocean linear built.
Is the restaraunt currently open for Dine in?

No not at the moment. The ship is completely closed for any kind of business.
If you take the 710 south from the 405, just follow the signs to the Queen Mary. Once you enter the parking lots head towards the ship it is exactly the center (midship/halfway) of the vessel, port side and they offer valet or you can drop off there and park in the parking lot.
Does anyone have any haunting stories about room b340
tristxn_0 | Aug 24, 2020
Andy S | Aug 24, 2020
They have a haunted tour that covers multiple areas of the ship. From what we were told, there are some pretty gruesome stories. However, the Queen Mary is an old ship with a lot of pipes and a lot of space. Echoes and shadows can mess with you. I would recommend trying to get a tour with Paul.
You are correct, when you choose where to stay you take into consideration the amenities and the Queen Mary has a tremendous story, it's not just a hotel room it's an adventure.
That last guide is wrong you have to pay to get into the Queen Mary because it is a tourist attraction alongside being a hotel there is a general admission to get into the doors I believe it is either $10 or $12 but the good news is that you can use your general admission ticket to get a discount of $10 on a meal at one of the many restaurants
Is it true that room B340 is haunted because if it’s true I would like to investigate. Sam and Colby and there group have said it’s haunted faze rug and olmar gosh have said it’s haunted...👌🏼
Yaren Yilmaz | Aug 24, 2020
Andy Vickrage | Aug 24, 2020
Yes B340 is the haunted room, but there is alot of other sightings of different people around the ship.
I don't remember having to pay anything just to walk around the public sections of the ship but they do have extra pay tours like the haunted tour. I was just there Oct 18th, 2019. I believe parking is about $20 but they also had a large Halloween event going on right in front of the Cruise Terminal.
Yes it is huge. It has 346 rooms, spread over three floors, that start around $99 a night. It also has a 24hr fitness center, restaurants and bars/lounges, all of which are smoke free.
According to our tour guide on the Queen Mary the reason the ship is their is because the city if Long Beach actually bought the ship it seems as though the ship builders were looking for someone to buy the ship who would not destroy it but leave it as is because the ship was very special to them several countries wanted to buy it for different things like as a floating college, sail the parts off as salvage to make money. Long Beach was the only city who promise to keep the ship as is & use it as a tourist attraction.
There has been stories of some ghost sightings and some professional ghost hunters say it is. Time magazine says it's one of the top 10 most haunted places in America.
There are alot of stories but in our room the closet and the bathroom door opened by themselves all the time and I tested them.they we're securely closed each time
Took a great ghost tour on board. The ship is supposed to be one of the 10 most haunted places in the United States. As for it's history, check online. It's too lengthy to discuss here.
Why is the Queen Mary apparently haunted? I've seen the Queen Mary, and my dad said it was a place of history, not a haunted place of history.

If you do some research, there's quite a bit of information about the Queen Mary and deaths involved. Being haunted isn't always a bad thing. I'm not here to convince anyone of anything, but Google it if you really want an answer.
All guests onboard the Queen Mary are required to have a tour ticket. Prices start at $30 for adult 12 & older and $15 for children 3-11. Prices are from their website, you may be able to find discounted tickets elsewhere. ??
Not sure about the Ouija board. But there are several rooms that are haunted and in the pool area at night you can see footprints going in and out if the water.
I went on the ghost tour and didn't feel anything strange. However, that said, there have been numerous accounts of paranormal activity over the years. While I do believe one can "conjure up" things in our heads, I also believe there are things that cannot be explained so simply. The tour talks about numerous deaths that occurred on the ship due to accidents, illness, old age, etc. The ship was used, for a time, as a troup warship during WW2 and held POWs in the bow area below decks. No where have I found any accounts of the captains being "evil" and in fact, they spoke about how each captain loved the ship so much they didn't want to sail any other Cunard liner after being stationed on the Queen Mary.
I was looking forward to dinner onboard last night until the porter said we have to purchase a $46 ticket for each person just to access the restaurant. It used to be $20, apparently.
Tim Markwald | Aug 25, 2019

I was there on Wednesday and didn't have to purchase a ticket to go to dinner.
I saw a black mass 'running' on the side of the first class pool. I recorded an EVP during the Paranormal Walk tour. I thought I heard a little girl sigh in the first class pool women's changing room. The spirit of John Pedder was answering questions through a divining rod. Take the Paranormal Walk tour. Though pricey, it's worth it.
Where staying on ship still currently leave on the 4th of next month. I ,have been on ship one week already, closed curtain walked to other side of room and curtains where open again went back closed curtain left room to eat dinner came back to room and the curtains where wide open again . I'm staying in room B133 we also had cupboards slamming in room next to us and drawers called security and was informed room was unoccupied so there out forsure odd experience already on ship..
Well many people have died on this ship last time someone died was in the 1900's I don't remember what year though. I just went there yesterday actually! The room B340 has had many activities it still does there are reports of items moving, whispers, ect. The room even comes with a ouiji board, taret cards, and crystal. One story that catches my eyes is that many people die in that room by heart attacks when they are all healthy, even people get trapped in the room when alone. The ship hold about 50, 000 people. The ship was a gift to the Queen Mary so they named the ship after her. I even asked the workers there if they have ever seen anything and all of them said they have. About more than 2 people go together in that one room to clean, only brave ones go alone. Most of the ship is haunted the spirits and reports that people say are as real as you and I. I went outside every room and recorded and in most of them there are orbs or whispers. The Queen Mary is a life changing experience

If, by sink, you mean: "lose boyency(/no longer displace enough water mass to hold itself afloat)" then YES...
There is a "cradle" of sand that surrounds the hull of the ship and in extreme low tides, she will actually rest on the bottom and you can actually feel movement when she touches. Other than that time (which occurs normally in November) she floats with the tide and can raise up to 7'. She normally sits 35' down in the 50' deep manmade lagoon.
If by sink you mean: become unsafe and capsize... DOUBTFUL.
While both ship and lagoon are properly maintained and maintenanced,.. IT WILL NOT SINK, short of a few specific natural disasters.
Anticdote: it's almost a certainty that her berth is slowly silting up and the tidal interval she spends resting on the bottom will slowly increase until she's always resting on the earth, but could not be moved or float again without major dredging. This is what has happened to many battleship memorials over time.
I think you should look up the Queen Mary and look into that a little further because it is floating it doesn't need repairs and it's fine the way it is
A lot of people are mentioning Shane Dawson and that's fine (I watch him) but I want more. I want to go there but I want to know what was the creepiest thing, that employees have seen/noticed.

We didn't see all the staterooms. We picked the larger one, on the outside so we had a couple portholes. If I could figure a way to get you a picture I would. Also the Dark Harbor event goes through the 1st weekend in Dec. So one side ship will be noisy until 1 a.m. Btw Dark Harbor is awesome
No they do not go on cruises. Not sure how many rooms are available but it more then one. I believe they rent out banquet rooms as well. Hope this helps you.
The Queen Mary is a very special ship, not only historically, but its current location in Long Beach and the amenities are superb! There are various tours in the ship that will teach you about it. It's completely worth it!
Here are some ghost stories that are actually supposed to be true about the Queen Mary. There is no info in requarding Michael Jacksons ghost haunting the Queen Mary that I have found. I seriously doubt that he even visited the Queen Mary, not that Id actually know, IJS thathttps://youtu.be/ovvVjwTNIQg
As a teenager my self and several fiends were on the Queen Mary at least one day aweek to play ditch em every inch of ship stayed in several different room for a few years we did this and never seen or heard anything this ship isn't hunted just BS
The special exhibits require a seperate ticket, even with hotel reservations. However, the tour was cheaper when we had hotel reservations, so the museum parts may have a deal.
There are elevators to connect the vertical floors, but the elevators are small and there is often a wait. The passage ways are original and can be narrow at places. The ship is expansive and I found myself walking ALOT.
I have stayed multiple times, I have enjoyed my stats, I have not experienced any signs of haunting nor ghosts.
The ship is much smaller than modern cruise liners.
The staterooms on board have the same walls as when it was in operation as a sea going vessel when the loud engines would have drowned out a lot of the noise. But now, in the dead of night, if you hear something go bump in the night, it's most likely uglies and not ghost.
Public transportation is available to drop off right in front of the Queen Mary. Guided tours are walk alongs inside the ship at an extra cost on top of regular admission. There are several guided tours such as the Princess Diana exhibit and the Ghost/Haunted tour, all sold separately. They offer a great military discount.
I have stayed there three times. And all the rooms were safe. Actually there are no ghosts on the Queen Mary or anywhere else for that matter. It's all hype.
I don't believe in ghosts, but I still enjoyed the ghost tour. It was lots of fun. Our guide, Sean, was excellent. He made it very believable. When we were at the section by the nursery our guide spoke about the spy dressed in black. This is perfect timing. Just then a Starbucks employee, dressed in black, came around the corner and down the staircase. We all laughed so hard. Later I told him he was a celebrity 😀
Sunday Brunch is every Sunday from 10:00am to 2:00pm

I don't think so.. Beautiful wood work. Fun trip. Maybe you're thinking about the Titanic. Enjoyed walking around ship looking at sites. Must be getting old. Had good day Scottish Rites gathering was there the day I an friend went there.. Still think(who knows I didn't notice anything.
I took the ghost tour that starts at 9:30 at night. The Likelihood of seening a ghost or hearing something is not so great when you're in a group of 30 + people. However at the end of the tour, our guide concluded the tour just outside the level where the 1st class swimming pool is. Everyone kinda went their own way. I went inside because I thought I would be by the lobby. I was completely creeped out when I realized I was right in front of the 1st class swimming pool. I didn't help that I was by myself because halfway through the tour my boyfriend decided he was tired and went back to our room. Needless to say I was creeped out enough that I pushed for the elevator over and over and I basically ran all the way back to our room. Creepy as heck!!
To be honest I have no idea but I would suggest you call the event info but probably won't get a total of how much it will cost you, there for I would go in personally to ask myself.
I don't believe so. We paid $22.00 (excluding tip) for Valet Parking. There is construction adjacent to the Queen Mary, so it's confusing even if you know the area. I'd recommend Valet, because all other choices involve no less than a 15-20 minute walk. Also, some areas on the Ship may (in part) validate your Parking (Valet) ticket. I was there on Dec. 1st for a Christmas Event. You should call ahead to be certain! Good luck, & enjoy your visit. 😄
I think if you go after 6 p.m. it's free but you would still have to pay for parking unless you're riding the bus over or you're taking the water taxi then you would not have to pay to park you could also give them a phone call or Google them hope this helps
There have been multiple instances of ghost sightings on the Queen Mary. One can explore some of these stories on guided/self-guided walking tours dedicated to them.
Alternately, while walking around the ship, you can look out for small cards pinned to walls/doors describing the ghost sightings at that spot.
I'm not sure if you would be able to contact me somehow privately, but do you have passenger info? My great grandmother came over on it during the WWII to be with my great grandfather. Was trying to find info on her travel.
