Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Authentic buildings & artifacts. We spent a beautiful, summer day just wandering around the old town imagining what life would have been like! I loved the tribute to former teachers in the school house.

What a cool spot. We didn't know what to expect going in, but we were very happy. The preservation of the two is remarkable. The staff members were welcoming and knowledgeable. My boys loved the scavenger hunt! The hotel was their favorite.

Great experience. Love to see historic towns like these. The scenery around was beautiful as well. Pack a lunch and drinks when you go there. Also, be careful on the gravel road, especially in a small car.

If you want a "real" ghost town experience, this is for you. This town is well preserved and mostly abandoned with cool artifacts and wonderful structures. You can almost feel the presence of the past around you without crazy tourist traps etc. Just watch the road, come in via Dublin Gulch and Route 200.

When accessing Garnet with a large vehicle you should use 200 as the access road. Access from the south is a tight squeeze.
There are people who believe that certain structures are inhabited by specific spirits.
The koa in Missoula sucks. It's in the middle of a residential trailer park with sketchy people milling around, if it rains the water ponds everywhere. Then there is the multi lane railroad hub with screeching brakes and other noises day and night. And lastly Missoula has become a mecca of the drugged and homeless who panhandle tourists non stop. Do yourself a favor. Stay outside Missoula, see and enjoy nature.
With snowmobile or x country skis from highway 200 off interstate they do plow most of the way.
Yes it was open on sat
The town itself is open, a few of the buildings may not be. I can't recall if there is an on-site care taker there.
$3 per adult cash payment goes into an envelope provided at the parking lot
Unfortunately, no unless you want to work there
