Suppose this is more of a "journey not the destination" type place. Interesting buildings, but not very well kept roads. The signs aren't very helpful either, also a note to not use Google Maps, you will be taken the wrong way. There is another map you can grab somewhere else. Overall nice scenery and history.

Follow the signs once you are out of Philipsburg NOT Google Maps. Neat place worth checking out if you are into ghost towns & mining history! It's a walk/hike around thing but there are unmaintained roads to some areas.

Awesome quiet place to see! Did not do the ghost walk yet, but will be back to do it! Cool history, easy to get to, and no one else there on a Monday morning!

Very cool old mining town ⛏️. The road to the site is kinda rough, we took a 4x4 truck and it did fine but a low clearance car might have some issues. The signs say that in good weather it takes a couple hours to walk about. Oh, this is also a free attraction.

No. It is a ghost town. Untouched for 150 years. Watch out for bears and mountain lions.
You can hike in the area but it is more like a walk than a hike to see the ghost town. Don't follow how Google map says to go. Get directions from the museum or someone in town.
