I want to give a shout out to the amazing maintenance team and Antonio. Recently I had a plumbing issue and Antonio stayed overtime to oversee the matter and kept in touch with me even after hours to see this resolved with updates up until it was fixed. The maintenance team puts in long hours and I am grateful for their hard work. Antonio always answers my work orders extremely fast as well. Many thanks!

Been here for almost 4 years. Packages are constantly being stolen. We are supposed to have secure lockers but carriers just leave packages unattended in the mailroom. If you don't pick up a package from the mailroom within a day it will be stolen. The building does nothing to address it which is ridiculous considering how high the rent is. Fire alarms go off all the time. Mostly in the middle of the night which is terrifying. It's to the point where the majority of residents don't evacuate anymore because we are all so used to it. Overall construction is poor. You can hear absolutely everything. They also raise your rent every single year. Positives - great maintenance team, location is central, nice amenities. I hate to leave negative reviews but it seems to be the only way our frustrations get heard. Most of these problems are resolvable but the management team has not cared enough to address it. Really disappointing.

Let's just make a pros and cons list. Starting off with the cons: - Your packages will more than likely get stolen. They have a large mail room that has amazon lockers but the delivery services rarely ever use them. They used to just through your packages on top of the mail boxes but then the apartments got little racks for each floor. I have had MULTIPLE packages stolen including my engagement ring. They will just have someone from their corporate office email you basically saying that it's not their responsibility and suggest to get a PO box or something. - If you have a loud upstairs neighbor you better just deal with it. I have a neighbor who literally BANGS on the floor ALL DAY and into the night. After MANY complaints it turns out they have a cooking business. Not sure that's allowed but they seem to not care. I have sent them videos, had them come in to listen, and they still send me emails saying it's "normal apartment noise" and then offered for us to move units with a $500 transfer fee. I'll attach a video for you to hear proof of the "normal apartment noise". After my last complaint the neighbors have been SLIGHTLY quieter but still absolutely ridiculous. I have had company over that can't believe that this is happening. Pros: - Location. It is very walkable. There is a grocery store on the bottom of the building as well as Trader Joes and Ralphs close by. Coffee shops, restaurants, nail salons, etc close by as well. - A few people in their leasing office are incredible and will help do what they can. Overall I think it's Essex that's the problem. - Maintenance requests are answered within 48 hours. I would rate this place 5 stars if I could trust to not have my packages stolen and if I didn't have to deal with constant banging on my ceiling all day long. If you don't care about either than yeah totally reccomend!
