I work in the building next door. Very frequently they do some "testing" that lasts from 8 AM to 5PM. The alarm sound that accompanies the testing is so loud that it's impossible to work. It's non-stop, very loud and annoying. Today I had to request a day off because of terrible headache it caused. I can only imagine how the residents feel. I would highly recommend to stay as far away from this location as possible.

The move in process was a traumatizing experience. Me and hundreds others didn't have running water or a flushing toilet for a week (7 days). The apartment was left in a state of disarray upon moving in with moldy and filthy bathtub/shower area, also with no shower head at all (see pics). There was 0 inspection done prior to move in. Management is literally impossible to get a hold of and doesn't take anything seriously. All of the management staff also changed properties without notifying residents so there's no information on who to get a hold of (every email, phone number, and contact of any kind on their website is outdated so don't bother). Also, after paying the first months rent prior to moving in via bank transfer, they rudely informed me I will not be able to get my keys until a credit card payment was made for another month. So basically they took my money via bank transfer but said bank transfer wouldn't do so we had to pay double. After living here for a year, here is what I've experienced since move-in: There will be no hot water for up to 5 days at a time, multiple times a month. The fire alarm will go off more than once a week in the middle of the night for 30+ minutes. The water smells of sulfur and there is visible rust from the pipes in the water (after complaining they said take it up with the city). Elevators, garage entrances, and more will stop working and take weeks to be fixed. For months now, multiple times a week workers will enter the apartment without calling first and make loud repairs to pipes. The workers will leave dirt and shoe prints all over the floor. The parking garage also has constant leaks that will leave giant puddles of what is hopefully water everywhere, even dripping onto cars. Noise complaints will go completely ignored and management will do nothing if you can even get a hold of anyone. I highly recommend finding somewhere else to live around USC especially with Lorenzo's rates constantly increasing.

I wanted to bring your attention to the parking garage issue. This is something that students will only know after the move-in process. Cause: Parking spot included with the lease. Issue: The Lorenzo refuses to follow through with the agreement, uses semester-long procrastination to process the parking request, and will not respond, forcing residents to park elsewhere, and not getting the original promise that was set forth upon signing. Multiple fellow residents have reported this issue numerous times to the manager on-site, and yet the response was "You will get the response in 2-3 days" and being told to email them again, only to be ghosted and repeat the process by going downstairs to the front and check-up on the progress again. This is utterly disappointing. Had we known about this issue, we would opt for other housing options closer to the USC campus instead. If the Lorenzo cannot realize their incentive, simply do not offer. Baiting on naive students is not the best way to make profit. Aside from the parking issue, the hot water gets cut off on multiple occasions, switching from one side of the building to the other side, and is still ongoing, sometimes without notice. I would seriously advise anyone considering the Lorenzo to re-consider again.

If you need a place to rent at, look no further, Lorenzo is the place to stay. Lorenzo is a great complex to live at. Staff are very friendly and to name a few, Deedee and Yuri really stand out. I appreciate the free events the complex host. These events really bring together the people who live here and provide fun activities to participate in. The staff go out of their way to create these amazing events. On the other hand, the apartments are furnished with nice furniture and the mattresses are amazing to sleep on. The ceilings are thick so there is no noise coming from upstairs neighbors. All in all, this is the best apartment I have rented at.

Without any disrespect, this is a really silly question. Of course, it all depends on what you want.
