The smallest skid steers typically have a rated operating capacity (ROC) of about 700 pounds and an overall weight of about 3,000 pounds. This smaller size is ideal for a homeowner project as it can usually fit through a walkthrough backyard gate. If you are asking if they rent forklifts or aerial lifts (boom lifts or scissor lifts also) the answer is yes. They do rent them by the day, week, month and year. They usually offer some sort of price break the longer you rent the equipment. I do need to state though that I am am not a United Rentals employee though so what I can only say for certain is that they do rent them and that they will for as long as you may require it.
