Great central location and the library itself is very well organized. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and every time I've been the main room has been nice and quiet - perfect for hanging out to read or do homework or work on project. There's tons of seating and a small section for children to use computers without hogging the main computers. I wish they had a larger selection, but for that to happen we'd need more people using the library!

The ambience of Indio Branch Library is best described as unwelcoming, hostile, and dispiriting. When an individual enters, the staff along with the security guard present appear as if they are on a higher echelon, do not bother even acknowledging your existence, and pretend to be busy as they fumble with their phones. They hide the fact that they would rather be somewhere else as well as their melancholic disposition poorly; it is apparent that they do not want to help you. Furthermore, dust is visibly resting on the books and trash such as popcorn, snack bags, and chocolate wrappers are always on the floors. Another indicator that the employees are idle and slothful. Nevertheless, while on my visit there, I spotted three teenagers smoking outside of the library. Of course, the security guard, who receives his paycheck for standing around on his phone all day, was unaware due to his indifference for the library along with its safety. This diabolical behavior further substantiates how the library is a despicable place. The fact that they endeavor to generate a family friendly image for the library is beyond atrocious since it's anything but "family friendly." Parents along with their children must steer clear from Indio Branch Library in order to prevent their child from picking up vile and explicit behavior. The uncleanliness of the place places individuals at risk for infectious diseases. The only reward for individuals, who visit this library, will be the acceptance of not a smile but a frown as well as the mental guidebook on to How-To-Be-A-Pompous-Imbecile.
