Great hike with great views! Take water! The trail is now clearly marked, but pay attention.

Great hike, beautiful views, and with a little bit of everything. Staircases, uphill Trail, downhill Trail, views of both ends of the Valley. It's about a mile walk of flat surface before going into the Badland Mountains when doing the 6 mile loop. I'm a 60 year old guy with a walking stick and 2 bottles of water in my hydro pack in which takes me less than 2 hours.

Very cool hiking back into the badlands! Good signage so it is easy to find your way through.

First time hiking this trail. And I fell in love. It's about 4-5 miles long. Make sure you take the appropriate hiking shoes. There's a lot of soft sand. Don't forget to take water. And enjoy the beautiful scenery.
