What a great place. Linda, the original founder, knows and loves her work with all these rescued birds. She carefully, and casually handles birds that are brought in, and cares for them with the goal of releasing them back where they belong...into the wild! I wish more people would come back out and visit to support the facility. I also wish there was more water & some mist machines, on the grounds...and a few construction volunteers to help fix habitat cages, and more good fill dirt- hint hint to all you reading this review! Go out, support a long standing good cause, and get up close to birds of all ages, sizes, shapes, and attitudes! Check out the little "horns" that popped out on the head of the red tail fledgling I brought in to the facility who was about to be weighed! Enjoy. Love and support nature. ❤

Absolutely horrible . Brought a hummingbird and the lady LINDA was so cold about everything. Telling me to grow up when I told her I was scared she might die , she was just everything to me and you hung up when I tried to explain how much she meant to me . You are despicable human being

We turned in an abandoned duckling today, Volunteer Linda was great and very helpful. We went home knowing this duckling will be well taken care of.

The nice lady that ran the place gave us a tour of the land and animals. She had lots of great information! Someone brought in an injured hawk and she showed it to us and you could just tell she really cared for these animals! If you love birds and are in the area I would definitely stop by! Donate if you can to help them feed the animals! They are doing great things to help rehab the animals in the area.

They might have a peacock or maybe they don't. It depends on what kind of bird some people find and rescue and dropped off. This place only accepts rescued or found wild birds that are injured or not. It is not a place where people can buy and take home wild birds. It is illegal in California and some other states to own wild birds as pets. I recently dropped off an injured baby raven that i found and i have been told by the lady who runs the place that it's illegal to own it as a pet. If you want to drop by and check out what they have in the huge aviary and cages, they allow people to see the birds and they are open from 8 AM to 12 PM daily. 😊🦜🦅
Gosh, I wish I could help. I know you can take a long, wide piece of wood or something to make a ramp but I know your said your already tried it. But related to that, I know it is suggested covering the ramp with a towel or something so it's not slippery. Have you tried calling the bird sanctuary or even Fish & Game for advice? Also, not sure what you do with the duckling after you get the little dude it. Sorry.
Unfortunately no. The bird center is for rehabilitation of wild birds. It is not a sanctuary. I would suggest an ad in the paper or on line for someone that may be interested.
Not sure, I will ask Tuesday and repost. I know I have seen high school age.
I agree, taking it to the wild bird center would be best.
