Questions & Answers

As a commission only employee is there a limit to how many hours/days they can make you work each week? Company keeps adding appt times and making days longer. There is no time allotted for breaks/lunch. Most time is driving and in appts.

I have work for same employer for the past 5 and half years. Please explain to me, minimum wage goes up yearly, I believe until 2023, not positive on that....how are they to be compensating existing employees fairly?

11.50 per hour if 25 or less employees. 12.00 per hour if 26 or more employees.. that's all that's required

Yes, all wages are due on the last day of you have notice or were let go.. that includes any accrued vacation time.

My company said I have to work over 96 hours in a 31 day month and over 92 hours on a 30 month for overtime pay . I’m only part time too and I’ve been doing 12 hour days is that right what I was told

There could waiting time pemalties owed to you. If after 72hrs of you quitting, you don't receive your final pay, you are owed a full days pay for up to 30 days. For example, someone making $11.00 an hour could be owed $2,640.00 after 30 days. This is on top of your final pay.. You have three years up file claim... Hope this helps..

30 minutes break for how many hours worked? You should be getting 110 minute break for every 4 hours one 30 minute break for every 6 hours and another 10-minute break for the remaining four hours of a an 8hr shift

hi we are a group of workers that were thinking of filing a complaint to our recent employer ...our foreman at the job site would not provide us with water sometimes he got physical with some of the labors at work , can we file a complaint here?

We handle wage and hour issues. CAL-OSHA would want to hear about the water issue... And if anyone is getting physical with you, you should file a complaint with the police dept.. I hope that helps..

I can make a report of this person pay in cash but less than the minimum wage and I hesitate like four years working in HVAC with this person

If I worked 103.25 hours ( recorded hours because I worked for 3 and 6 minutes which weren't added to this amount) and got paid 95.51 hours regular time, 7.67 OT and 0.07 double time. Is that right? I thought 80 hours got paid regular time?80+ as OT?

Its based off of daily hrs. After 8 hrs a day its overtime and after 12 hrs a day you hit double time

My question is legal to the Employer don't give a rise every year?

They can do a review every year on your performance, but not necessarily monetary
