The Housing Authority of San bernardino County will not admit during the pandemic the drop the ball which is just sad. I got denied because they are telling me I didn't upload all my documents I spend about 2 hour transferring file to upload all on my phone not every have access to a computer told me 100% complete. So a month go happy new years whole new year can't get anyone on the phone so leave messages no callback , email. Finally last week on a Friday called the one in Victorville the lady was rude , told I was calling to check on the status of my application she processed to tell me it was denied I didn't upload all my bank statements only one page. I said ma why would I only send 1 pg she said I don't know you log in and look at your documents. Documents I couldn't even view after uploading. I received no letter which she claimed was mailed in March and if so ma why would I call and ask about a status update. 🤔 why would I upload everything else and only 1 pg bank statements . So I just have to reply or try to get reinstated. Which I found out at the office. Can someone answer this question have your received both mail and email during the whole process? Because I have but not this last time no mail or email funny.

No one returns calls. Cannot reach a human being. Letter states to arrive 20 min prior to appointment, but office is closed. Is it closed because its too early? Is it closed because it's a holiday? I'm standing here with several other applicants in the parking lot with the same questions. Gardner just stated the building was closed today.

It all depends on what program your in. If you have a Voucher you pick your location and place as long as its in the same county. For example if you have San Bernardino, Riverside ect. Or if you have the other housing based i believe that's where they place you at one of the properties they have contracted with. Hope this helps.
I went on line and I can't get in my name is Jerry K. Bailey and phone number is 9096408110 and I call and left a message on ext and no one call me back so now I would like know to go about doing this. Thank you every much and look to move in the area of (Barstow, calif.)
Honestly I have forgotten. Try HUD
No if the office is closed its closed for inspection as well, the inspection office has it's own set times and days for there inspection.
Also, are you put on a waiting if you already have a place but needs assistance to pay rent? If so, is that waiting list the same long list mentioned?
You can place your request in the mail box located in the parking lot or you can take it inside to one of the receptionist Monday through Thursday and every other Friday from 9am to 4pm.

It all depends Section 8 only is with a voucher, affordable housing there low income housing and then they have the five year program where you find a place and they pay for the next five years anyways there all voucher and yes you will be put on the waiting list for what you apply for the five year program waiting list wait time is a lot shorter than the other programs I hope that this answered your question and was helpful.
