NextStep is amazing and im so grateful for their service! I was able to get a laptop donated to me through their grant program. Customer service was amazing and communication was amazing too. Thank you Jessica and the rest of the employees there. I am forever grateful. I cant wait to try out my laptop! 🖤🌈

I am grateful for a service like this. I was in need of a decent laptop for job searching and I found one here for cheap! They have sales now and again. They are very helpful when you have questions. The only thing about this place I don't like is their schedule and unpredictable hours.

This is a great place. There is always something new, the staff is knowledgeable, and the customer service is top notch. However they need to stay open until 6 and maybe like 4 hours on Saturday. Their limited hours mean the only time I can go is on my lunch break.

Needed a dedicated computer to run my textile designing program; meaning memory, processing, and a decent screen. I was new in town and figured this would be an onerous trip to the blue and yellow store - but then I found the NextStep website and decided to visit. Wow. I got a refurbished very high end HP laptop for a fraction of the price! Two years later it's still going strong. NextStep should be your first step when looking for tech hardware!

They use the manuals as part of the courses they offer on maintenance and repair.
When you are talking about donating/recycling your computer, that is actually done at the warehouse location at 245 Jackson Street in Eugene. The ReUse Store is not the recycling center. We do wipe ALL hard drives, but they can be removed Monday through Friday at 245 Jackson by our tech department. Thank you!
I have purchased several things there from laptops to cords, and games having them fix my a graphing calculator and some of my laptops. It's a good store I like.
Tomorrow they will be open.
I'm not sure Sharlotte. Call store on Monday. Have a great weekend
Nah, they will recycle it though. They may also have used phones.
Yes, you should definitely call. I'm a amateur tech, and even I know it doesn't take that long.
They have tons of them. Depending on size and budget you could find exactly what you are looking for.
Idk. You asked reuse computer repair store where to get your blender fixed... You should try googling appliance repair.
NextStep repairs computers and any AV equipment is tested for resale, but we are unable to fix portable cassette players. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Thank you.
Sometimes I do and sometimes I hope where it ends up thay will recycle it.
The NextStep ReUse Store is open by appointments, which we run every 15 minutes. We ask customers to wear a face mask and use the hand sanitizer when they enter the store. This way we are able to clean the counters, credit card machine, front door and any other surfaces in between every customer. Please feel free to call the ReUse Store at 541-868-0904, M-F from 9 am to 5 pm with any questions or to set up your own personalized shopping appointment. Thank you!
Hi Mike. Yes, we do take XLR cables. The donation center is located at 245 Garfield Street in Eugene and is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Please feel free to call the donation center with any recycling questions at 541-686-2366. Thank you!
NextStep does not deal with paper recycling, unfortunately, as we are an electronics recycler. That is something that you can put in your cardboard recycling for trash pickup, though.
We recycle printers, working or not, at our Recycling Center at 245 Jackson Street in Eugene. You may drop it off anytime, Monday through Saturday, from 8:30 am to 5 pm. Thank you for helping us recycle!
You can take cell phones and computer equipment and TV's to Next Step recycling.Next Step Store offers 10 percent off for Veterans
NextStep Recycling will take it, working or not, over at the warehouse, at 245 Jackson St. in Eugene, open Mon - Sat, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm!!! Items which don't work are dismantled, and responsible recycled. Thank you for helping to keep e-waste out of our landfills!!!!
We do have usb to C charging cords/chargers, and they're only $5 each!!! Currently we are having a sale, so you can add an additional 15% off of anything in the store, and 20% off for any grade/age student!!! Military (both active & veteran), people 55 and over, and students can enjoy15% off of anything in the store EVERY DAY!!!! And, of course, if you recycle over at the NextStep Recycling Donation Center, at 245 Jackson, in Eugene, you will get a tax donation receipt AND a coupon for 20% off at the NextStep ReUse store, at 987 Garfield, in Eugene!!! We look forward to seeing you in the store!!!
245 Jackson St. if you are facing the building, the drop-off door will be on the left side at the rear of the building. There is parking there for drop-offs. The front is for volunteers and the right rear is for employees who repair PCs. I hope that helps.
Exactly, the volunteers are mostly trying to get either a job or a free computer. Good people, cool bosses. 💀
We take almost anything with a cord (you can call 541-686-2366 to confirm an item in question), but we certainly take keyboards, along with most computer accessories and components. Thanks for thinking of us!
It's a recycling business, you may get a tax write off, but that's about it, unless they've changed since I've worked there.
It may be that they're in the middle of a move. I just talked to the store today and they will re-open on Wednesday at the new location. I've already updated Google Maps.
Yes, in fact I did it 3 years ago. I can't remember how many hours you have to work but it is worth it. If you are technically inclined you can work in the back building computers and then get a better computer. I'm a Computer Security Specialist so I got a top of the line pc with 2 terabyte hard drives inside.
No for the paper, but they will pick up electronics from businesses. They are great!
Unless you can find someone that refurbishes them or something, I think scraping them would be your best bet, or in the metal recycle...
Do you pickup old TVs? We have a 35in tv; works awesome but we want to get flat screen. At least 20 yrs old
NextStep will be closed this coming labor day. ( 09-03-18 )
Yes, all hard drives are reformatted.
Call but most likely yes
I believe they will recycle your dish.
Second that, just drop them off; and thanks for the reminder that I have one to recycle too
Alex, try contacting the organization directly by phone call or email.
