Ive lived at Halsey Flats for almost a month now and none of my work orders have been address. I put in my work orders on 5/17 and its 6/7 now!!! Still no response. The leasing office made my work orders high priority and that didnt make a difference. This property is managed by denton floyd real estate now and ive called them as well several times and each time it goes to voicemail. I do not recommend living at any properties owned by denton floyd

So disappointed from the service of Halsey Flats. The worst treatment you can ever get from a housing management department. For some reasons I had to leave the Appartment early and I agreed and paid the two months extra in addition to the monthly rent (the fees of breaking the lease). After I paid everything, I requested a receipt that state all payments, the manager told me that I receive a receipt by email. I didn’t receive my receipt with all payments I made, instead I received a shocking bill of $4628.86! I left work early and went to their office to talk to the manager, which ignored me and told me that she has a meeting and that will call me in 48 hours. It been 5 days and I’m still waiting for her call to have a conversation about this lofty bill. They also request to pay by money order, which is weird that a housing management would want a tenant to pay this way instead of a check. Never pay by money order, it’s just not right.

If I could give a zero, I would! The Saturday before move in day, they were preparing to have us move in to an apartment that had been flooded from upstairs and the repairs were horrendous and unlivable. The office manager was very rude to my husband and when I would call and leave a message for her to call me back…well, she never would call me back! On other occasions, she was ALWAYS in a meeting when I called! And to top it all off, when we got our refund check, my husband’s name was incorrect…why? You had all of the paperwork in front of you with the spelling of his name! Choose another complex to live in if you can help it!!!

One thing for sure is that I hate giving bad reviews but in this case it’s becoming to much. My sister lives in these apartments and seeing how hard she trying to keep it together for her foster kids is really sad and heartbreaking. These apartments have a major pest problem my sister took in four kids and in order to keep the kids she had to move to have enough room for them and become a foster mother. She only had 30 days to find a place and she did so at Halsey Flats . She’s been there Roughly 4 months maybe five. She reported a problem asap she wasn’t even there a week. She’s an asthmatic ,she’s highly allergic to those pest and not to mention the kids she had were living in terrible conditions. This could be very Traumatizing to children that have already been miss placed from the home and have to deal with this at a second home. She’s lost all hope and praying that the years moves fast but I’m not going to let her give up that easy. Please be aware of this place don’t get trapped . We will be getting her some legal help at this point because we don’t want her to lose those babies.

Thanks, my girlfriend and I were looking at these apartments, they look beautiful, but you and several others have complained about bugs and roaches, we will definitely keep looking.
Utilities are lumped in with the rent bill at the end of the month. LG&E has to be set up by you and paid independantly. There is also a fee to treat for the roaches they won't warn you about prior to moving in.
After you've lived there about two months, you'll start receiving a monthly utility bill for water, sewer and gas.
Renovated units are the ones that have been recently updated, and legacy units are the ones that have not yet been renovated (but will be soon).
