I felt I was paying too much on Auto Insurance, so I searched and every company that advertised themselves that they could save you money, were more expensive than where I was. Then I found Metromile. It's not for everyone, because you pay by the mile. So now that I work 1 mile from home, it made sense. So, if you're retired or work close to home and don't have to drive too much, this could be for you. Now, with my three cars, I'm saving $50 to $70 per month or more. Their app on my phone works great and it gives me a lot of information about my cars I didn't know I could have. I'm very happy with it. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't drive too many miles. At least let them quote you with your approximate miles and you can see for yourself if it's for you. You won't know till you find out for yourself. best of luck! - MAV

Only had Metromile for a couple months, so far it has saved my Son & I over $100 a month, we both have very short distance to work commutes, so paying by the mile is really cost efficient for us! The only issue is a few features in the app have not worked properly, other than that is is very handy as far as tracking trips, mileage, it even shows fuel cost if that is something you may need or like to see. Highly recommend this auto insurance if you do not drive a lot of miles on average monthly/yearly...

Metromile is good if you don't drive much like a spare car sitting in the driveway (less than 5,000 miles a year). If you use the car regularly, it may not be as cheap as other traditional insurance. The initial rate was great but they raised my rate every six month when the policy is renewed by 70% to 100% even though I didn't have accident or traffic ticket.

Lowest insurance rates I’ve ever had, with good coverage! My mother and I both have our own plans, and together our monthly bill is still less than my old plan for just one. If you have an account with Metromile it's easy to add another car to your account. If you will be using the new car make sure the responder is inserted in the car like you would do in the other car. If you are keeping two cars, call Metromile to get another responder. I hope this helps.
I don't believe an unregistered car is covered by insurance but you should call and ask an insurance rep
I haven't experienced that either. I would go in and change the number of miles that you normally drive
