I really like the Springbok. The staff is very friendly and I don't think I have ever seen a server just sitting around — they constantly check in on people and get going. This is great! The food is also great, considering it's a pub. They have a decent amount of South African dishes and also many classic American pub favorites like wings and mac n cheese and other things too. I highly recommend trivia nights which are always busy, friendly, and a lot of fun (although not free). The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because I feel the menu could use some more options for vegetables, but it's a pub so I would imagine most people are not exactly looking for that. Perhaps I'm being unfair? Try: Chicken livers with the South African goop.

We were out on the patio having our drinks, they just served us 2 more beers...and at 1:23am this one worker turned on the lights, started taking out the trashes and cleaning outside and indicated we needed to leave bc they were preparing to close. So we assumed they were closing early... Right?!? Wrong!! We were like "O'well I guess".... We had full glasses of beer. As we were walking out, thinking they were closing early for some reason... We realized the entire bar was still full of people. Confused!! We lost out on our Guinness... My friend is a frequent bar fly at this spot so he was even more confused than I was! I think the next time the gentleman that wanted to close early... Get a head start...Or whatever.... should tell the patio people that we can take our beers inside to finish them....so he can begin cleaning the outside like he wished, instead of making it seem like they're closing early!

Loved this place. The food was great and the staff was attentive. Can't wait to come back!

I believe this was supposed to be south African cuisine although I'd say it's predominantly American. They did have their take on Durban curry but it's mainly burgers/sandwiches, quesadillas, potato skins, etc. Don't get me wrong, the pastrami sandwich was the best I've ever had, the veggie burger was good but the patty I believe was rice based which is a little odd to me. They were out of lamb, brisket, some sauces, and a few beers. The one and only woman working (besides the cook) at the time of my visit appeared to be the bartender, the waitress, and the manager. She was fast and friendly. You can tell this place survives on its regulars, bar patrons, and I'm sure half the reason they come is for her. I'd say this place is meant for a group gathering looking for beers and bar food. Overall, would not recommend for families with children (at least during the day) or date night.

I do know that on Saturday nights, I think starting at 9:00 or 9:30 p.m. they have karaoke

The game may be on the big screen but you should be good. It may be busy but you should be able to get a table! Parking is on the street or the lot behind. If businesses are closed, you can park in the lot across the street.
There's a patio.. I don't remember seeing any pets out there anytime I was there though. But they're pretty nice there so I would assume they allow pets outside.
Tuesday
Yep. They are opening early for most World Cup games
