Redundant, obnoxious, and obsolete rules that the staff is fine with, because the burden is borne by the patients. "It's always been done that way" is one of the worst possible reasons to keep doing things. This place is in dire need of some kind of consulting that would help streamline and optimize their processes, policies, and rules. As of now, it's a pure frustration time when dealing with the staff.

Professional staff, super fast service. I've been there many times (over 8), average is about 15 minutes total, from registration to blood drawn. Record time is FIVE minutes (parking is free if less than 10 minutes). If you use UCSF My Chart, most of the results will be there on the same day. Cannot ask for better.

You need a doctor's order to get a blood test. After the order is in, you can drop by anytime afterwards.

What is the least busy time to go for a blood draw? When the wait time will be the least. Is 6 pm a good time?

How come the website hours says "open" when it is not and says "hours may be affected by 4th of July" instead of saying "closed for 4th of July"??? Why not say what's really going on instead of bad info, prompting one to drive there for nothing?

Why don't you call before going like a normal person. The usual hours are monday-friday so on July 4th (a Saturday this year) they would be closed anyway.
