I've lived in a few places in the Downtown/Midtown area and I must say the management staff at Vela is second to none! I'm speaking specifically of Bernadette, the proper manager. Since taking over as manager she's made it her mission to provide an inclusive, community-oriented, and inviting atmosphere at this property. She is very communicative and transparent with what is going on around the property, new updates and features being added to benefit residents, and the safety and wellness of the community. I cannot say enough good things about Bernadette and her trained and attentive staff. They truly do go the extra mile to accommodate resident's needs and requests!

As a resident at Vela (Formally Alta) since April 2019 I’ve seen the various changes over that time. It had a great start when I joined under Alta, the initial change of management when it became Vela, standards dropped off. Lots of broken things left unfixed, and a feeling that no one really cared about the tenants. This was exacerbated during the covid pandemic and I was very much considering leaving. Then Bernadette joined the team as new manager for what I think has been a year now. She really and passionately took an interest in rebuilding the community spirit, getting things working again, and generally really was clearly working hard to make it great again. She, along with her team, has and continues to turn things around and make it a great place to stay. I’m very happy to give a 5 star review.

I am a huge fan of this apartment complex. The amenities & management are all amazing. Bernadette (manager) is a saint and everyone else I talk to at the office are all extremely helpful & kind. Bernadette is a boss. Ever since she took over as manager she has been amazing at not only improving our amenities but keeping us updated with the progress of it all through emails. The only negative is that Parking can get a little stretched out. Having to park on the 4th or 5th level when you live on 2nd floor and get home past 8 on a weeknight, is a little annoying when you notice many backed up cars with no stickers on their windshields. I do know management is working on hiring security, so ideally, security will start removing those non sticker cars since residents do have to pay for garage parking. The amenities are amazing. I’ve told so many friends about moving here. (A couple of friends are moving here next week, and one more is moving in August) I am so confident anyone looking to live here will love it with the current management and office staff! Highly recommend!

Best Apartment complex in town for dog owners. The new owners and management are making changes to improve the amenities and help create a community. The Apartments are big and have patios with great views of the Valley. Also has Cox Fiber Internet which is a big plus.
